Fantastic game, very strategic and great to teach my grandchildren a proper 'thinking' game. It is supplied with a decorative linen cloth board which is great to take to the local pub, but to be honest I only bought this for the lovely detailed resin game pieces. It's easy to make a wooden board and use woodstain to decorate it. All the family and grandchildren are addicted to playing this game, so it's taking pride of place on the coffee table. Looks a lot better than the price suggests. I noticed some reviews saying the pieces chip easily. I'm not sure how, or maybe they have changed them, but the pieces I received are absolutely perfect and look like they'd last a lifetime. Delighted with this purchase, and great price too !

I cannot tall you how awesome this is but I'll try. The little chess-like pieces are amazing, with such detail on them. The board is actually cloth, so it's easy to store, and you can pretty much take this anywhere. It basically looks incredibly authentic!

Great game, play it every week with a friend, he takes it everywhere with him. (Purchased as a gift for him)

A great easy to learn board game. Fun to play with games being fairly short, so ideal for a ‘best of 3’ match. Would suit a wide age range.

A fascinating game. There are several versions of the rules but we found the most interesting form of the game is when the king cannot be used to take your opponents pieces. Very simple but requires quite a lot of thought.

Bought as a gift and was really pleased with the quality. It has an appealing look. Only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5, is that the instructions for the game weren't you clearest. That said, it was easy enough to find further clarity on Google.

Haven't played this game yet but it looks amazing. Boxed beautifully, quality is great, size is perfect for home and travel.

This set is really well made. The pieces have a nice heft, they feel like they're carved out of bone. The board is cloth but decent quality and I expect it to last. Gameplay itself is easy to learn but the strategy is very different than chess or Go. Play is dynamic, it's not so easy to build a solid strategy and the fact that each side has a very different goal makes things really interesting. Loving to have this piece of history on my bookshelf, it definitely won't be collecting dust!

We were looking for a little different game for our grandson and family. Non-electronic or computer and relies on wits and strategy. Easy to learn, hard to master. The quality of the product met expectations. The pieces don't feel cheap and every fits neatly into the nice case.
