It will print double sided manually. But it does not Auto Duplex.

how do you change the toner?

I would download the instruction manual from the HP website, but to go ahead and change the toner:Look at the front where the completed sheets come out. There is an indentation in the deck of the machine. Pull that toward you and the 'front door' opens. There is a drawer indicated by a blue handle. Pulling that out will expose the 4 toner cartridges. One thought relates to my last HP color laser. When the read out says the cartridge is empty, there may be an option to continue to print as HP reports toner levels in their favor and there is probably a lot still left. If you note that the colors are getting weak, however, then change quickly as running it without toner is not good for the printer.

Does this support the "print by email" feature where you can email a document to it and it will print it out?

Yes, you just have to set up that function. Your printer will have a unique email address that you can choose, xxxxxxxxx@hpeprint.com. If you are on your Gmail on your smartphone, you can send the email to your printer's email address, and the printer will print it from wherever you are from your smartphone. You can also use the app on your smartphone to access a website and print the page from there. If you have an iPhone or iPad, as long as you are connected to the WiFi (and your printer is connected to the WiFi), you can automatically print the webpage, or email, or photo from your IPad or iPhone, no app needed.
