Senior dog loves it!
My dog is a senior dog that has very few teeth left, because I had most pulled, and I had a hard time finding a wet food that she liked that didn’t have chunks of meat and/or vegetables, as I had to be careful she would not choke. She loves the taste and has been consistently eating this food for over a year now!

What happened? The quality has gone down! My dog doesn't recognize the food and neither do I!
For years, my senior dog has been happy eating Beyond by Purina, all-natural and no-grain dog food. She likes the lamb as recommended by our Vet and the cod and whitefish foods. We buy the wet food as she has no teeth. Well, the Beyond seems to be discontinued or there has been a distribution problem for the last few months. I was on auto-ship for 12 cans at [email protected]. I researched for a temporary but quality solution. I found Solid Gold Chicken and Salmon. When I opened the can, I could see the broth gravy, cubed potatoes, green peas and carrots. My dog loved it. Six cans are @23.00 so I thought we'd be on this until Purina got back into business. Suddenly, after giving a good review, I've had to change my star ratings to the current. A new shipment came in. The food looks very different. It is pulverized. Just a brown batch of paste that has no redeeming features. There are no visible chunks of real vegetables. No liquidy broth or gravy. Maybe this batch was cooked and over mixed into a pulp? My dog kept looking at it and sniffed around it and walked away! As I am writing, she is furiously barking her head off in disappointment at me! I've had to mix in an egg or cheese to get her to eat the food. She ate the topping of egg only. I finally had to call for a refund! What a let down for her and for me. Back to the drawing board for another quality brand! Batch number: 3422 46WSM2H 2049 SE. One box had made in Thailand and this batch didn't show place of manufacture. Is it China? Highly disappointed!

All the cans came dented up, looked shabby. Purchased because I needed a food that would not cause stomach upset in my dog. Still evaluating the food.
