Q: Are they extra large calf?

No they are not, very Poor product for the price that you pay, I would not recommend using them

Q: Add clearly says 4 pair and picture shows 8 socks. Reviews complain that they received 4 socks not 4 pair. Which is it?

I just received mine. They came 2 packs of 2 pairs. That's 8 socks total. I've only been wearing for an hour and I love them.

Q: I wear a mens size 10 1/2 x-wide shoe, to compensate for post foot surgery and not wanting anything tight on my feet. what size socks to get?

My husband uses the largest size on his size 14 regular width feet. He has swelling in one leg associated with cancer in the bones. These socks are getting us by at the moment but we are maxing out their stretch on that side. I would not recommend them for wide feet with swelling. I just don't think there is enough stretch in the circumference of the sock
