Works great with a little practice and a slight modification.
Now that I have used this angle guide for 3 weeks, sharpening kitchen knives and folding knives, I am pleased with it. It works well after just a few minutes trying it out, IF you are only concerned with getting an old kitchen knife usable again, and if you are not concerned about keeping the grind lines even. But if you are intending to use it to sharpen or put a different grind profile on a valued knife, it pays to practice with it for awhile, because there is a little learning curve. Also, if you intend to use it to put a steep bevel (less than 15 degrees per side) on a narrow bladed knife, such as the small blade on a pocket knife, it helps to modify the tool rest. Otherwise, there is too much gap between the tool rest and the sanding surface, and not enough support for the blade without it tipping over the edge. I cut a thin scrap of aluminum (1" X about 2") and attached it to the surface of the adjustable table with double face tape, leaving about 1/4" extended over the top end. This solved the problem, so I cut slots in the aluminum, drilled and tapped threads into matching holes in the plate, and attached it with #6 RH machine screws. This allows the auxiliary (alum.) tool rest to slide up and down. It appears to be well built and the angle is easily adjustable. Plus, made in the USA in good old OKC.

Love it. Finds angles well
Love it. Finds angles well, I still check the angle with an angle finder, but stays locked when adjusted. I don't use it for sharpening much, but does great for setting a primary bevel.

this one is not as nice as the one sold by Pro Sharpening
This helps out a lot and will up your game considerably. That said, this one is not as nice as the one sold by Pro Sharpening. They are veerrrrry similar, not sure which one is a copy but they both need adjustments out of the box.

performs as advertised
This thing is awesome. If you have a 1"x 30" belt sander, this thing is the bomb. I even used it to sharpen my dogs toe nails. Made you look!! Works great, easy to put on and take off, secure and adjusts easily. Now if it would just roast hot dogs we would be good...

There is a difference
This is my second Surgi-Sharp angle jig for my knife sharpening business. As I do about 60 knives a day this jig is a vital part of how precise my edges are. I have tried several cheaper versions of this jig but they failed my small knife testing and the quality is noticeably less. With the Surgi-Sharp the gap form the jig to the belt is very close which is ideal when you have narrow or improperly sharpened thin profile filet or paring knife that needs restoration. This is the best jig on the market for me.

Not for knife sharpening with the Harbor Freight 1 inch belt sander.
I would have given it 5 stars if it were reversible. I emailed the company to see if they had any that faced the opposite direction, and they never responded. I wanted to use this for sharpening knives on my Harbor Freight belt sander, but my belt rotates toward the knife blade while using this unit. I ended up slicing my sanding belt, and have not used this angle guide since. A total waste of money.

Nice idea
It doesn't fit older-style belt sanders like my ancient Sears 1" ..... too bad, cuz the guide is well built. I tried to modify it but wasn't successful....

Good for making butter knives and machetes.
I don't see how you could get anything short of a Bowie knife sized blade to work with this. The gap between the belt and the guide (and I worked on closing it for the better part of an hour) is such that it make it extremely difficult, especially as you get toward the tip. You've almost got to float above it and try to stay parallel. It will also scratch a nicer knife (my polished Case blade looks like I tried to assault the TinMan with it). I fiddled with it for hours on several knives, but ultimately it's either going back to Amazon, or in the toolbox for when I need to sharpen something huge that I don't need a precise edge on.About the only thing I found this guide to be good for was a hatchet and screwing up the edge on a couple of nice pocket knives... maybe get this if you want to child-proof your knives.
