The product sent was 3/16" not the 1/4" as advertised. This is the newer equibraid... not as thick or long lasting as the old turbo braid.

This Product is NOT in any way a safe horse fence! 1 stand of it cost my horse its leg and its life, she was found with an amputated leg, from getting hung up in one strand of this product! I would NOT suggest it to anyone with horses!

I have used this product for 10 years and have never had a problem with it. Every winter we put our 5 horses/mules in a 25 acre hay field. On one side (which is 1/4 mile long) this electric wire is used. Of course you need to introduce the horses to the electric fence under controlled conditions. Ours are used to it so I just put it in the same place every year and they know that it is there. It is quite visible and the posts also are visible. It works great.
