Make Way for McCloskey
Robert McCloskey’s contribution to American children’s literature is recognized across the World. His artwork is treasured in our memories. This is a great compilation of his stories. Quite a few don’t seem to be published at this time. So it is worth grabbing.

Classic for the bookshelf!
We love Robert Mclosky and this treasury of his stories is the perfect addition to our bookshelf. These stories captivate my 4 year old and I love to read them too!

Cheaper than each book individually
My toddler son loves Robert McCloskey, so when I saw this book, I was delighted! All his picture books in one volume! Yay! Yes, the pictures are smaller than if you get each picture book individually, but that’s hardly surprising. The one thing that surprised me (although it probably shouldn’t have) was that the book only contained one story from Homer Price and one from Centerburg Tales. I don’t know why I was expecting both full books in their comedic glory to be included, but I was. So, just be aware if you’re expecting the same thing. :-) Still a fantastic value, and great quality of book (both in terms of content and binding)!

Collection of books by a Favorite Children's Author
My children love McCloskey's books. Make Way for Ducklings leaves my 2-year-old son "honking" and "quacking." My six-year-old daughter asked to wish on a feather like Sal did in One Morning In Maine, when she lost her tooth. And all four of my children beg to read Blueberries for Sal over and over. I do like the pictures better in the individual books, but this book saves shelf space and costs much less than buying each one. The biographical information on McCloskey and how his life connected with his writing and art was very interesting as well. Highly recommend this book! A classic for your children's library!

a collection of robert mcclosky stories
i gave this as a gift to my preschool granddaughter. it has all or most of robert mcclosky's children’s stories. some of the more simple ones she can appreciate now, and some are for the future. robert mcclosky is a wonderful writer and with the illustrations you are immersed in the world he is bringing you to.

Awesome American cartoonist
To anyone interested in the great 20th century cartoonists, this book showcases some of the best known work of one of America's premier cartoonists. Though technically a children's book author and illustrator, his style is like that of some of the best cartoonists, IMHO, in other words, cartoonists who can really draw. And the stories are cute and charming, even if written in pre-PC 1940's America. Good for kids!

Nice book, but pictures smaller than expected
I bought this Make Way for McCloskey 8-in-1 book to read to my grandkids. I thought buying it this way was more economical than buying all 8 books separately. I didn't expect each "book" to be the size of the original ones, but I didn't think they would "shrink" each book so much by placing several (original) pictures onto one page, condensing everything. This hardcover book is still nice, but be aware that it has smaller pictures so you aren't disappointed like I was.
