Optimum Nutrition used to make a mocha flavored pre-work out many years ago, and that was always my go-to. I'd put it in my afternoon coffee with their Double Rich Chocolate protein, drink it on the way to the gym after work, and nail every workout with my trainer. So I was absolutely devastated when they stopped making it and I hesitated for YEARS trying a fruity flavor. I finally took the leap, and ordered this. I love almost everything about it - taste, price, effectiveness, and I especially love that it doesn't include Red 40 in the ingredients. I have improved my workout performance and duration much quicker with this than I did without it. I work out between 5 and 6 every night, so I was worried that with the added caffeine, it would keep me up all night. It absolutely does not. In fact, because I'm working out harder, I'm sleeping better, and there's no yucky crash that you get with high sugar energy or coffee drinks.It has a great taste, no after taste, it's not too sweet, and not too tart. The ONLY thing I notice is that it never 100% dissolves, but it's never gritty, so it doesn't bother me at all. If you are looking for a light kick to start your workout if you aren't really feeling it, or a push to scale up weight, duration or performance, this is an amazing option, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I will absolutely subscribe to this.

I like the fruit punch flavor and it mixes very well. I did get itchiness as a side effect at first but no longer do after a couple uses. Does seem to give me more energy before working out.

I have tried c4, ghost, bucked up and so many others. This one does not give you a crash later, amazing flavor and gives your energy all day.

Does not give me that gross itchy feeling. A lighter, 200mg dose so I can take it late and not be up all night. The pump after is pretty nice too. Taste pretty good but tastes much better with cold water.

The good news is, this pre-workout drink actually tasted good and seemed to work fast. 30 minutes after drinking it, I definitely saw a improved difference in the level of energy and stamina I had for my boxing workout.The bad news is, I had an allergic reaction almost immediately! The first time I tried it, I noticed my the top of my hands felt very hot and itchy, this feeling lasted for about two hours. We chose to do something else so I didn't have to wrap my hands or use my gloves. I didn't know what caused the problem. A week later, getting ready for my personal trainer appointment again, I made the drink and took the first two sips - and dang! My hands are hot and itchy again! The ONLY allergy I am aware of, that I have, is to artificial food colors like FD&C red and yellow. But the package says "beet color", which I love beets and do not have an allergy to beets, so that doesn't make sense.Comparing this label to other labels for this same brand, I found the Strawberry Mango Daiquiri has Red 40, Raspberry Lime Mojito has Red 40, Berry Blast has Red 40 and Blue 2, Blueberry lemonade has FD&C Blue #1... So I'm guessing there is actually Red 40 in this product, or the Beet Color isn't 100% natural and unwittingly has artificial red color in it.I don't write reviews. This is like the first one I've done in the past 10 years. I'm writing not to badmouth the product or the company, it DID seem to work, but at an expense. I'm writing just to warn anyone else that has an allergy to artificial colors. Ladies, if you find the top of your hands immediately get hot and itchy after eating or drinking something, you probably having an allergic reaction like I did.
