The Perfect Cat Litter Scoop
After decades of trying out all sorts of scoops, I finally found the perfect cat litter scoop!First, there were the pet stores scoops - perfectly useless! Then there were the stainless steel ones that were flimsy, and rusted after constant contact with kitty pee. Then I graduated to plastic food scoops - and I used those all these years. - acceptable, but not ideal. This one is large and strong, and will not crack after months of use, unlike the plastic ones. Being aluminium, I don't expect this to rust either, like the so-called stainless steel ones. And last but not least, this has a flat bottom - presenting the largest contact point with the base of the kitty litter tray, which means the clumps of litter are lifted off easily and cleanly.Clearing kitty litter trays in our multi-cat household is now a breeze!I think I am going to order a couple more right away!

Good ice scooper
If you have an ice cube tray which is permanently full of ice in the freezer, this is a perfect scoop to go with it. The plastic is strong, and will survive drops onto the floor as well as the chill of the fridge itself.Obviously, a metal one would not be something you'd like to grab onto after a few hours at 0 degrees, which leaves these poly units. It's a tad spendy, but it doesn't seem like something that's going to wear out. Mine's good as new after six months in the chiller.

Excellent scooper. Sku label hard to get off
This scoop is well made and will work fine for our large ice maker in the bottom door freezer. What amazes me is that a reviewer wrote three years ago that it is hard to get the sku label off of the scooper and it is still a problem. Maybe the quality control manager for this company should get out from behind his desk and actually do something about it. I am soaking it in hot soapy water right now trying to get the glue off.

Well designed to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm??
The scoop is well designed and manufactured. Works great in the ice box. However, it arrived with a California Prop 65 warning label: "This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." I realize that the manufacturer is forced to add this label to avoid lawsuits under Prop 65, but it is completely unclear to me what action I am supposed to take. The scoop arrived with no packaging, product information, warranty information or the manufacturer's contact information. If I could contact them, I would have some questions, like: What exactly are the harmful chemicals? Will they transfer to the human body? If so how? Is the chemical leaching better or worse in the freezer at 0 deg F compared to room temperature?I'm trying to decide whether to send this back for a different scoop, but there is no guarantee that a different scoop won't contain harmful chemicals as well. Hard to give a star rating: 5 stars for design, 1 star for cancer and birth defects, for a final score of 3 stars.Update 2016-09-14: A bit more Googling revealed that the cancer causing agent is probably BPA. It is used in the manufacturing of polycarbonate, which is the material used for this product. Apparently, new regulations in California requires Prop 65 warnings on polycarbonate after May 11, 2016. I have been diligent at avoiding plastics as much as possible (e.g. using glass storage containers in the fridge). So I decided return this item, and just use my fingers to pick up the ice. It's possible that the contaminants on my fingers are worse than the BPA on the scoop. I guess I'm now more motivated to wash my hands more frequently.

Good ice scoop
Just perfect. After breaking three solo cups to dip ice at the office holiday party, I went shopping for a real scoop. The 12 oz size will fill a cup with ice. This is the day of delivery so I can't testify to longevity of the product. I put it in my ice bin in the freezer. If It cracks I will amend this. If it doesn't. I am ordering one as a gift to my workplace and one for each of my three grown children. Just the right tool for anyone who serves ice out of a cooler even once a year or has an ice maker.

Highest quality polycarbonate ice scoop, but with one flaw a label glue residue
You should be aware that there's an issue with the glue that was used to adhere the label to the underside of this scoop.I was able to peel the paper label off using my nails and fingers. However, there is a residue of glue that is left on the scoop and no amount of using Bona Ami cleanser and Dishmate soap mixed together into a paste will get this glue off. Hence, there's still a tacky layer left on the ice scoop. In which, if you suffer from multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) just be aware that a tacky residue of glue remains on the scoop. On the other hand, if you can live with the underside of this scoop in a small area about ½ and inch by ½ an inch will remain sticky then buy this scoop. This polycarbonate scoop has a nice light blue sheen to it and the feel of it is sturdy along with it effortlessly scoops and pours ice. This ice scoop by far the best ice scoop I have ever used or seen.

Perfect for what I used it for
I used this as an ice scoop for my freezer so that everyone hands weren’t dipping in the ice (yuck). This was a surprisingly well made ice scoop but also light. Good deal!
