Works great!
17 years later almost and this still works great. Purchased for my husband to play with our kids. They have made many happy memories with this game.

Missing pieces
I reviewed all info before purchasing i was under the impression the game was in new condition not used and missing pieces. I didn't receive the 3 blue or 3 red aircrafts, also should have 10 ships and it has 6.. I didn't count out 200 white pegs and 100 blue and 50 red but if other pieces are missing im sire there's some pegs missing as well. I bought this a Christmas present for someone who begged for the game and now it cannot be given as a gift until we have the complete set.

A great old action toy brought up to date, and it's hands on fun
I bought this so that I could hopefully enjoy my grand children when they visit and not have to watch them on the computer with their video games.I wanted interaction with them and had bought the first Electronic Battleship years ago when my now grown children were young. we had so much fun with it, I took a chance and boy have we had a great time. The kids love it . My youngest Grand child is 5 and oldest is 16, We have all had a great time,It makes noise great action sounds better than the original we wore out years ago, even makes you think and you can actually talk with each other while you enjoy action and a bit of strategy...The family is at the table and not at the Tube or computer, laughing together....It's a 80's feeling toy with a current feeling of today that they could relate to. .The kids all love it, and so does Grandpa and Grandma. We have a standing order, These Grand parents don't babysit or have our kids over to visit and then lose them to todays approach to fun via computer games. We all play together and it's just good old fashioned fun ....

Lots of FUN!!!
This brings back memories of my childhood. I purchased this as a gift for my brother and we have been having Battleship Wars ever since. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the attached container for all the small pieces is a little too small (sometimes they spill out). Otherwise the unit is designed very well.

Game was used and missing many pieces
With this game behind retro I knew something would be off. Like the box being ripped or aged and I didn't expect it to be missing pieces. Three were supposed to be tiny aircraft that land on each ship and ALL of those were missing. So, I can't play the game the way it was intended. Save your money.

Used but working.
I noticed the box was worn and torn when I received the package. When I opened the box, the pegs were all over. The game was not secured or packaged in a bag. Open the battery slot and it had batteries that were blown. Had to open the game and cleaned it out with contact cleaner spray. Started to work after cleaning out all the dry battery residue.Took some TLC before the game was used by the kids.

Neat toy that causes thinking to boot
This is a very sophisticated toy that my grandson has gotten many hours of enjoyment out of. He quickly graduated to the advanced game, in which a lot of strategy is involved with the different choices. We still haven't explored all the possibilities that the game offers, but are more than satisfied with what we have explored thus far. My only complaint would be in the way the game is supposed to sort of stand up at a 45% angle....on a slick table-top it won't stay there, so we just lay it flat to start with and use the honor system on not peeking. I wouldn't recommend this for a child much younger than 8 unless he or she is extremely adept at following directions and capable of plotting strategy. Otherwise, buy it.

The game was in fact broken---huge disappointment for an eight year old child
This game was delivered with an overwrap which made me suspicious that it was a return, but a label was stuck on which said the overwrap was for protection. On Christmas, however, my grandson found batteries were already in place and the stickers were already applied. The game was in fact broken---huge disappointment for an eight year old child! Very bad policy to rewrap broken toys and resell them, especially at Christmas.
