Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  There are many drones out there and I did my research on what would best suit my needs as an intermediate user and decided on the IDEA10 GPS Drone. It exceeded my expectations.Although this is a very easy drone to fly, it does not distract you from the fun you can have and I wish I bought another battery as the 15mins seems to fly by (pardon the pun).Easy to assemble, there are some small screws but a bit of patience it comes together very easily. I really like the numerous spares that you get in case there are difficulties.Operation is easy. Just download the app onto your mobile phone and follow the instructions. You need to calibrate the drone and takes about a minute. Worked for me first time and should for you as well.The flying part is a joy and what you notice is how stable it is . Admittedly I have only flown it on a calm day (not many of those at the moment) and took pictures of my house as a test. Crystal clear pictures even in low light as the day was overcast. Did an inspection of the guttering and it does need a clean!! The camera is not stabilized mechanically or electronically but due to the very stable nature of the drone the camera shake is nominally in light winds.Controls are easy to use and responsive as you would expect with no surprises .If you get distracted then just let go of all the controls and it will hover. I did the test of pressing the Home Button to see if it would land from exactly the same spot it took off and it was within a very impressive foot of the spot from a height of 200 feet. This drone also can suit the novice as it has a Beginners mode where you can limit the distance the drone can fly from you in both horizontal and vertical axis. This allows you to practice maneuvering the drone without worrying if it is going to fly off. The follow me functions worked well in light wind conditions.Very pleased with this purchase for the price it offers very good features, value and flying experience. I am sure as I use it more and gain more experience then I can make full use of the camera photo and video modes as this is usually learnt from trial and error especially in trying conditions. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  So I almost lost my drone the first time flying it in my backyard. I was trying to take photos with it and heard some beeping. I think it was a low battery warning since I’ve been flying for over 10 mins already. I kept going for another 2minutes or so and my controller lost contact with the drone right when I throttled up. The drone went straight up increasing only in altitude. I panic as it was not responding to any of my controls. It went up about 6 story high on a windy day. I thought for sure it’ll crash into one of my neighbors yard once battery is completely out. But it help steady straight on top of my yard. I turn off my controller and it started to decent slowly. It held the position thanks to GPS and landed on my yard. Phew! If you happens to you, it’s best to turn the controller off right away so it returns.As for the drone itself. It flys smoothly and responds well to control. You can put an SD card in the drone so you don’t need your phone to save photo and videos. I attached a video i took with the drone at 1080p. I would recommend using the cellphone to adjust the camera first and lower it enough to not capture the blades.When you first setup. Be sure to read the bigger single page instructions for gps calibration. I found that more straight forward than the smaller book instructions. It’ll also teach you how to stabilize it. I found the drone to be very stable once you calibrate it.There are a few things I wish they can improve on. The first is the feedback noise. When you start/stop video capture via controller, it will beep twice. It’s the same for both start and stop so you’ll have to keep track of it. Would be better if it has different number of beeps. The phone app does show the recording state so I would recommend using the phone.I would say this is slightly above beginner drone since it doesn’t come with blade guards and moves much quicker than my other beginner drones. Even at low setting. It’s still easy to fly, just need to be able of the speed.Overall this is an excellent drone with GPS for the price. I would recommend getting drones with GPS because it’ll save you $ from accidents. Worth the extra few dollars imo.

The claim it's appropriate for beginners, so I was a bit speculative on purchasing it since I'm an intermediately skilled drone pilot. But this RC Drone is fast, agile, and extremely responsive.It's extremely easy to unpack from the nice carrying case and get airborne. The 2.4g wifi camera provides good picture quality and panoramic views from the 1080P HD camera. I love the map location and GPS assisted flight feature. It takes pilot error out of the equation and I can safety hover, follow a target, and go home.If my battery runs low or I can't see the drone I simply hit the return home button.I've flow the drown in no wind and moderate wind conditions and the 3.7V 8520 motors are powerful enough to give it stability in a windier setting. The drone has 3 speeds and I've found in windier conditions, flying on the highest setting gives the best drone response.I've found that if you panic and feel like you're loosing control of the drone, just turn off the remote. The drone will come home.I can't wait to try and fly the L-Idea drone with my 3D headset, it's supposed to be quite a virutal reality 3D experience.

- Product was not new and it was used.- Controller had awful material.- Phone holder on controller was very thin and from poor material, it is near to be broken while fixing the phone.- Drone itself, was made from very poor recycled plastic.- Fan blades were very weak.- Camera was without motor and router and it was in low quality.- Design was so bad and in my opinion this product is for one time use only.

As a complete novice who hasn't spent any time on games etc i found this drone a doddle to set up and fly. I wanted it for work to find trees on my property and fun photos /videos .My only gripe is the flimsy phone holder,i finally got my samsung to stay in place by having it more to the right in the holder . on the whole id definitely recommend this drone

Arrived as indicated in perfect condition. Very compact. I am 71 and find the instructions hard to understand. I am finding I have to read it more than once. I am looking forward to using the drone to its ability. Had issues with scancode to android phone compatibility. Overall looking forward to being able to fully use drone.
