Easy to install, attractive for what it is
This review is in regard to the Db370 Notchkrf 36" BGE, as a replacement for one that was nearly 20 years old.Importantly these are made for doors that have a similar piece existing, that can be removed and replaced, which many exit doors have at the bottom. You might not even realize it is removable, as it looks as if it is built into the bottom of the door.In my case it was very easy to remove and reinstall without having to remove the door as the instructions state is necessary, this is not true for all doors. I think they are just trying to warn you of the possibility. The bottom line give it a shot without removing the door, you have nothing to lose. I had enough space to work with from the bottom of the door to the floor. It is often an inch high plus or minus when the door is opened, depending if you have carpet, which is slightly compressible, etc.My application was for a garage in-swing exit, which worked out perfectly. You could consider marking the kerf style insert with a pencil for lining it back up, and than slide it under and push the new one in place, it was extremely easyIt snapped firmly into place, and when the door is closed, it seals the bottom of the door to the threshold perfectly, no light, no air.Thinking about doing the rest of the exit doors as it is affordable, looks much better and holds the heat in during winter and the cool air in during summerThank you

Great price, easy to cut to your particular sized door
My door is a 32 inch door so I had to cut this to fit. I cut the length with a hack saw, and then I measured the distance that the kerfs are back from the edge and cut those kefp portions off too so that it would fit in the slots in the bottom of my door. It was very easy to cut to the correct length and fits perfectly and works perfectly.Buying the wrong size and cutting it to size saved me $20 over other options on Amazon. It seems to be the same type of door seal as I had before which is great.I can't speak to the longevity of this particular seal, but the price alone would let me buy 3 or them for the price of other similar options on Amazon. I would definitely recommend this route!

Fit perfectly
I loved the simplicity of installation! Being that I’m a female with next to no handyman skills and needed to seal up my front door, I’m exceptionally pleased with how easy it was to install all by myself. I didn’t even need to trim it to fit. It was a perfect fit on its own. Plus, the only tool I needed to use was a flat-head screw driver to remove/pry the old seal. I did not need to remove the door by its hinges, either. There was just enough room under the door, since the threshold sits up from the floor a bit, that I was able to remove the old and install the new with the door remaining on its hinges. No problem. I can see how in some cases you would have to remove the door, but thankfully that case scenario didn’t apply to me. The seal went right in place from applying a little pressure with only my hands. The only thing extra I want to do now that it’s installed is add a little glue to each of the ends to reinforce the seal there due to its securing tracks/treads that hold it in place stop about two inches inward from the ends leaving the ends a bit sloppy or slack. A little glue between the bottom of door and the ends of the seal should do the trick. I noticed that even the old seal had placed a little glue on the ends, as well. I guess they all have that little slack on the ends needing just a pinch of extra reinforcement. Not a problem at all, I’m sure.

Easy to modify for a door without channels; good materials
I wanted a good quality (non-box store) door bottom for my out of production non-channeled Peachtree door. Using the box this came in with two pieces of 2x4 inside for a floor level table I removed the door pins and laid the door back down with enough clearance for the door knobs. I then removed the screws holding the box-store flat with a lip door bottom I'd bought some years ago and figured the kerf would need to be cut or hot gunned off the new part but by wiggling the end of each kerf back and forth a handful of times it separated and I was able to easily peel back the entire length of the kerf. The part was still solid (has a nice backer). After matching the screw holes it was easy to attach the new product with new screws (not included but you're not supposed to need them for a channel fit) and prop the door back up in place. It is easiest in my opinion to line up the center hinge and push a pin in just enough to keep the hinge in place and then do so with the other pins; then seat them. All-in-All a very good product. It it came with a flat bottom it would have saved me about ten minutes otherwise nothing to get in a twist over.

Perfect fit
Absolutely perfect fit. Yes, you have to trim the length, but it cuts very easy with a pair of side cutters. Took me a total of less than 10 minutes from opening the box, to full installation. It fits perfect in the groves already cut in the bottom on an exterior door.

Super easy to install - highly recommend!
Fantastic in every way! We just moved into a 20yr old house with original weather stripping around doors. I didn't take the door off to install this. Just put a flathead screwdriver between door and old one, and popped it off. Lined up new one and pressed into place. Took literally longer to take old off than to install new. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes total.Replacing the rest on other doors now that I know how easy it is. Highly recommend!!

Good fit, measure your clearance to threshold
Good fit to the door. My door threshold was vey low, so measure that this will fit before ordering (3mm minimum clearance)
