Gargoyle - Wings of Darkness

I like the movie because I am getting ready to start working with gargoyles in Magic and I wanted to see how humans viewed them so I can make my own opinion.I love the writers point of view and the creativity and the movie has met my expectations and more and thanks Amazon prime for Great movie selections and thank all of u who reads my review. I never try to write anything negative I feel we all have a right to ur on points of view.and we should look at things ourselves and say if we like things or not .we can learn something from everything in life.

The writing and direction could have been better but, compared to the junk cinema that inexplicably garners high ratings this film deserves five stars. Perhaps it's the lack of gore and jump scares that the average idiot viewer objects to. It can't be a lack of action, this movie has plenty of it.

I won't pretend to be a film critic. I grew up on B movies from the 50s. This movie had enough action & thrills to be enjoyable. Obviously it wasn't going to win any awards but many award winning films aren't that great either-except to cinema snobs. I enjoyed watching it and am keeping it on my Watch List as I may watch it again sometime in the future. At the end it sounds like there might be a sequel. I saw Gargoyle's Revenge and thought it was the sequel and was all set to watch it. As I had it ready to watch I noticed it had the exact same actors-including ones that had been killed off. Sadly it's just another title for the same movie-no sequel.

If I could have given it a negative 5 stars I would have. It is so bad it actually made my eyes bleed a little bit. Fortunately the throw up made me look away long enough to recover and become un-stunned enough to turn the stupid thing off. Don't wast your time. It would be more fun to purposefully amputate a foot and spend the time in an emergency room having it reattached. Seriously. So VERY VERY VERY bad!

I liked this movie so much i just had to order the tape. There are few movies i like this much and this was one of those. It was one of the first gargoyle movies made in more recent times i think, and well worth watching. I am happy i was able to find a copy.

Michael Pare is one of those B movie actors who keep getting roles in direct to DVD movies like this one. He joins guys like Casper van Dien, Michael Dudikoff, etc. in providing little acting credibility. Fortunately, the special effects are above average for a movie of this ilk, so GARGOYLE becomes an entertaining horror flick. Unlike many films of this nature, we even see the gargoyle in daylight, a brave move in this genre. The gargoyle is pretty impressive, though and there's significant bloodletting to please hardcore fans. Martial arts hero Tim Abell turns up as Lex the Slayer, who goes bonkers after a midnight gargoyle attack, and his performance is appropriately campy. Surprisingly good if you don't have too high expectations.

I love some gargoyles, brand new dvd and I love the movie. amazon is the best way to order pretty much everything.

Interesting movie. nice effects, I'm still looking for a gargoyle movie I saw in the 70's thatthey would show them come to life from a stone statue, no not Gargoyles with bernie casey!Some other good movie,any body know what I'm talking about!

Gargoyles - Flügel des Grauens wirkt auf den ersten Blick sehr befremdend und ist wohl eher in die Kategorie der B-Movies einzuordnen:Ein mittelmäßiges, teils konfuses Handlungskonstrukt wird mit schlecht animierten Kreaturen sprichwörtlich auf den Zuschauer losgelassen. Wer hinter dem Titel eine Anlehnungen an Disney's hervorangenden Zeichentrick "Gargoyles - Auf den Schwingen der Gerechtigkeit" vermutet, wird leider bitter entäuscht.Der Film handelt von einem brutalen Monster, das aus seiner Gefangenschaft entkommen konnte und Rache an der Menschheit üben will. Als Rahmenhandlung muss - genau wie in Godzilla - eine billige FBI Ermittlungsserie herhalten. Man findet schließlich eine Bruthöhle mit weiteren Gargoyle-Eiern, die natürlich vernichtet werden müssen.FAZIT: Ein Film für wirklich ganz langweilige Nachmittage...
