Is this genetically modified or non-GMO syrup?

As the question is phrased, it cannot be answered "yes" or "no". However, if you want to know if it is genetically modified, I do not know. I only know that the syrup comes from Europe (Germany) where GMO is frowned upon. Therefore I eat it without reservations.

Its the color shown in the picture-- as in, thats not dark glass you see, but clear glass, adn that is the color of the syrup coming through. Its the color of raisins.

I’ll be making gingerbread cookies & wondering if this can be used in place of molasses in the recipe?

It certainly can and you will love it. Molasses has a "stronger" taste though, so make one batch and decide if you should use a little more of the beet syrup for the next one.

How long does this last opened and does it require refrigeration?

The jar I just purchased has a "use by" date of 12/2024. We consume ours within 1 month, and it does not need refrigeration. My guess is the worst thing that could happen, it is might crystallize, which has never happened for us.

German syrup

Box partial open,yar seals broken, syrup opened in box ,sticky mess in box. Very poor packaging and fearfull to eat.We were anticipating getting the beet syrup. We are German and it is are favorite syrup. Very dissapointed.Franklin korosec
