LesterSummit Series II Battery Charger 650W 36/48V, 5/16-in Ring Terminals with QD Lockout, 6 Ft

Bought this charger as a replacement unit for my existing unit that was taking forever to charge my 48v Club Car DS. Bought as an on board, but decided to start out using it as an off board. Came with the on board connection wiring so I had to order the connection cable to fit my Club Car DS. Hook up was simple and straight forward using the on-line manual. Only issue was the obc connection on the cart. I had read all the instructions, but had a brain fart with regard to having to by passing the Club Car's OBC. Initially the charger wouldn't work. After speaking with Bill in tech services at Lester, he knew right off what I had done, or didn't do. I wired the cart per his instructions, cutting out the obc from the existing on board receptacle and the charger worked perfectly. Would recommend this charger if you you need to replace your original. It is mallet and lighter than the big clunky unit that came with the cart. Bonus is you can down load the app and monitor your battery condition and state of charge.

I`ve been using this charger for several years on my lead acid golf cart batteries and it has done a great job maintaining them. It turns off automatically when they are fully charged and can also run a balance cycle. I have now replaced the old batteries with a new 48V lithium battery and this charger can be programmed to charge the new battery. You can download the lithium battery charge profile to match your lithium battery thru the charger APP. It charges my new battery at about 12-15 amps and will shut off at 100% charge. It works great!

Just installed this on my EZGO TXT, 36 volt. Mounted it onboard in space I had available next to the batteries. Installation was straight forward, but I do have a complaint.There are no instructions on how to wire the QD shutoff lead to the cart. Okay....I was happy to not install this feature, but it was not at all clear if this had to be wired in order for the charger to work.I sent an email to the manufacturer but didn’t hear back (to be fair, only one day passed since sending the email). Anyway, decided to hook up the +- power leads and see for myself. Happy to report that the unit works fine without the QD lockout wired up.App is pretty good. Some weird little glitches....like the estimated time to charge is WAY off. Nevertheless, the app is an outstanding feature and provides a lot of very useful information.Bottom line for me is that I am very pleased with the Summit II and, despite the staggering price, am very happy I bought it. I just bought a new set of batteries and wanted the best charging system I could get. This unit is it!

I bought this for my golf cart in Dec. 2021. I was looking for a charger capable of maintaining my batteries over the summer while I was away. The first charger died after I had left for a month. After back and forth talks with the companies Tech Expert we finally determined the unit was defective and they sent me a replacement. I'm not sure what happened this summer, but when I returned my batteries were dried out. I added over 1 gallon of distilled water and they're still low. I won't be doing this again!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED. IT WASN'T A CHEAP PURCHASE.

Charger works great on my golf cart but you have to be very close to cart for bluetooth to work

Mounted this charger on-board my '96 EZGO TXT DCS 36v cart. Installation was straight forward, except for the interlink function. Best I can figure is the charger doesn't provide enough voltage through its internal 10K Ohm resistor to signal the 1206SX controller to enable power to the motor. In other words, the cart won't move even after the charger is unplugged.I've got a 10K resistor on order to place between the red and blue wires at the charger hook up terminals. Hopefully the two resistors will pass enough voltage to enable the controller when not charging, AND allow the charger to drain off enough voltage to lock out the controller when it is charging. I will update this review with my results when I receive the resistor.Another annoyance, which is unrelated to the charger itself, is the lack of information about or where to buy the optional Remote LED Indicator. Ended up buying the Remote LED directly from Lester, but had to ask them about it, because even they don't have it listed on their web site.

I received the charger on Saturday.Upon opening the box I noticed it was just jammed in there in no fashion. I removed a bag of screws and attachments and the baggie was well worn and full of holes.The cable hold downs were installed in the wrong areas.The connectors for the charge wires were just crimped on yellow eye connectors. This product was obviously a return that was sent right back out to me.

This is a Very Nice piece of golf cart charging technology. Super easy to install and I mean Super Easy. The App that you can download for your phone works great so far. This golf cart charger is way better than using the heavy clunky old charger we're used to. I cannot recommend this enough. If anything changes I will update my review but right now I am beyond happy with this piece of tech.
