1) Outer box is high quality, in off white color, with all the two recycling marks. 2) Booklet is of great quality print, colors a vibrant and well centered, no print flaws. 3) Inner box is perfectly crafted, opens without loud clicking or popping, no blemishes, off white, high quality velvet inside, perfectly cut slit to berth the pen. 4) Pen has all the metal plated with Ruthenium, spring is attached to the body, treads are metal, clip has all the right markings, well defined and very nicely engraved, band has amazingly sharp MontBlanc name, has the serial number very sharply marked and on the band, and mostly important, the high quality resign shines its red hue in all parts of the pen. If this is a counterfeit, they should sell it to MontBlanc, because it is so good that a MontBlanc specialist could not spot one indication. It does NOT have a stamp on the booklet, but this is because those guys are NOT authorized dealers and therefore you will NOT have MontBlanc warranty.

I ordered this pen on line from Amazon based on reviews only. I had never actually seen one in person because it is so very difficult to find local Mont Blanc retailers in my area. I'll admit I was a little nervous about making such a grand purchase "sight unseen". Holding this pen in your hand proves that it is well worth the investment. Mont Blanc pens make a bold statement about the owner and has major "snob appeal" for those that are in the know about the price tag usually associated with Mont Blanc. My husband has three Mont Blanc pens and will not write with any other pen. He always has his at the ready. I have always liked his pens, but I'd never seen one that caught my eye enough to make me want to pay the higher price for the Mont Blanc line. That is, until I saw the Starwalker pen on line.... I then started to try and locate one in my area before making this level of commitment to a pen. I pondered the decision for a few weeks before I bit the bullet and made the purchase via Amazon. It's a trusted retailer, so I gave in and went for it. The color selection on the pen is stunning and it feels perfectly balanced in your hand. It has just the right amount of heft without being too heavy and is incredibly comfortable to write with. This is not a light weight pen. It has a substantual feel to it and it is larger than some of their other lines. The Starwalker is in a class well beyond anything available from Cross or other high end pen makers. Of course, it writes wonderfully---just as all Mont Blanc pens are designed to do. The black and gunmetal finsh are stylish and understated. This pen is classy and elegant and seems designed for the person who wants to be subtle with their "excess". It doesn't scream "Mont Blanc". This pen is one that you have to really look at to notice the elegant Mont Blanc touches. I can honestly say that I have ZERO regrets on this purchase and truly enjoy it for my everyday use. With the built out grip, I have greatly reduced the tired feeling in my hand at the end of the day. This pen is perfect in every way. If you are on the fence, go ahead and make the purchase. When you hold it, you will understand... :)

Amazing pen! the weight is balanced and perfect for writing for long periods and the colors in my opinion are much more modern and stylized than the older plain black model. It comes with a black ink cartridge while I would have preferred blue so I had to go to a showroom to change the cartridge. The only issue I had is that the warranty came not stamped, but I don't think this is related to reviewing the pen itself and that's why I didn't take away a star due to that.

What is going on with Amazon lately? I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, and I'm noticing more and more things either breaking, or showing up defective. This pen is a perfect example of that. In this review, I'm going to point out the good and the not good. As with all my reviews, this was purchased with my own money, this review is 100% unbiased. Pro's: - great price! This pen typically sells for $300 or more. - It's 100% genuine MontBlanc. - It's very comfortable to write with. Smooth as ice on glass. - It's a great looking pen. (personally, I love the Starwalker line). Cons: - The center trim ring on the grip (twist mechanism) is loose and rattles. It also shifts while I'm writing. Conclusion: My original review was long-winded and critical, so I've changed it. This is a great deal. Startwalker's average $279 and up everywhere else. If you're concerned about authenticity, fear not, this pen is 100% genuine, comes in a genuine box, but no warranty. About that...I believe these pens are rejected products and sold "as is", which would explain why there's no warranty. There's nothing wrong with this, as the flaws are minor: otherwise fully functioning pens. The only real gripe is the seller should include this info in their ad. Other than that, this is a good deal.

Very pleased with this pen. Nice weight, writes really well and looks great. Had seen an earlier review reporting the purchase of a fake but having checked the pen thoroughly I can confirm that it is genuine. Maybe this is because it came direct from Amazon and not from a third party seller.

Un regalo costoso, ma di classe e per amanti del genere. Penna bellissima che porterà punti al vostro regalo. Confezione come sempre molto elegante e ottima scrittura su carta, senza neanche riscaldamento iniziale. Il regalo è stato molto gradito... il prezzo è alto... ma chi compra Montblanc lo sa... e chiude gli occhi quando acquista! Consigliato!

Pinta muy bien y es muy bonito. Cabe perfectamente en el estuche de mi hijo con el resto de rotuladores. De momento no lo ha perdido y aunque lo chupa y lo muerde apenas tiene marcas. Parece resistente. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.
