Not for metal
I had these cutters and thought that they would work through aluminum. They did cut a hole, but it wasn't right. Not Spyder's fault. These cutters have a wide application range, but metal isn't listed and now I know not to try it.They cut through cement type board really well.

Great tool
As with all Spyder tools, this tool was worth the premium cost.

A beast
Went through six inches of wood and stucco. Struggles with particle board for some reason. Beat the poop out of it. Great system.

Cuts right through concrete.
Tears right into concrete or cement block. Core was easily removed when needed.

Makes a nice hole
Like all spyder products, this does the job it was made for. Highly recommend this product.

Best core bit available
Do a lot of home remodeling and new construction. Literally drilling something every day so far this is the best for going through wood and brick. Works great until you find a nail or steel then its done.

Fast
Way better for cutting wood than regular bi-metal hole saw

For the price; buy two, you can always return the unused bit!
Hoping for 8 holes, but alas, the bit only made it to 5. I suspect but can’t be sure but the pictured center hole, the third cut and a cut thru the blocks side walls, was the cause to the early failure. The hope; was to cut 2”’s deep on both sides and chip the remaining block walls out. The bore bit was doing so well I got greedy and bored to a depth of 2 1/4”. On the 5th hole the performance disappeared rapidly upon I noticed the sidewall cracks. Will be buying another to finish the 8 hole project. Will report back on the out-come! Also the bit never lost any teeth while under the stress of the sidewalls failing.
