Great looking, firm and durable.
I got this tape in yellow, in the hopes that it would be more comfy than my cheap cork bar tape and not tear as easily. This has delivered on both criteria pretty easily. The tape itself has a thinnish layer of foam on the underside, which has a sticky strip strip (not adhesive) down the middle to grip the bar while you wrap. This mean you just wrap the tape tight enough so that it doesn't move and you can undo and re-wrap if you miss a spot. There is a line sewn down off center on the tape which helps a lot to wrap it evenly. I probably wrapped mine too tightly, but there is no concern about ripping the tap while wrapping like there is with cork. The tape is firm (not so much thin, though) and not cushy or gel-like. For me this is an advantage - on my other bike I have "gel" cork tape which is much cushier, but not more comfortable for me. The longest ride I've ridden on this tape is 105 miles, at around 5 hours and I did not feel discomfort in my hands. I normally wear gloves and the grip of the tape is sure in light rain and somewhat sweaty gloves. I haven't used this is in the heavy rain, or with gloveless and very sweaty hands so I can't comment on the grip when very wet.The tape has a very high quality, almost leather like look. It's very attractive, and I decided to try a lighter color (yellow) since I was hoping it is washable. I've put about 800 miles on the tape - enough for it to start to darken from use. Using a rag with dishsoap I was able to lighten it back up and clean off grease that I got on the drops. This is pretty hard to do with cork/foam-like tape. The pattern is slightly different than the thin Fizik tape that is normally used with the Fizik gel inserts and the material seems more synthetic leather-like than the microfiber-like feel of the thinner Fizik tape.I really, really like this tape and think it's probably cheaper than most tape in the long run because of the durability.

Great look and feel - easy to keep clean.
I'm using the regular white (not the tacky or soft touch) and I love this tape for the way it wraps, feels, and looks. First, with this tape its really easy to wrap a professional looking finish. I cover the logo edge and use the raised seam as a wrapping guide. (You can wrap it the other way, with the logo exposed, but I don't like the look as much. Personal preference.) Pull it snugly as you go - you have to keep it pretty snug especially at the bends so the edges are smooth. I end up with really nice looking bars with virtually identical wrapping on each side. I don't understand the reviews that say its too short. I have done 3 bars with this tape and end up with about 4 inches to cut off. I don't do the figure 8, so maybe that's where people are having some problems. Second, I like the grip and feel of this tape. Prior to this I used the Fizik superlight which felt a little slick and insecure in my hands (nice tape otherwise). This tape has a softer more leather-like feel that works for me. Third, I like the thickness and small amount of padding. The superlight tape was too thin for me - I was getting a little nerve damage in my hand which is totally solved with this lightly padded tape. Fourth, this Fizik microtouch material stays clean. When you get some dirt or grime, it comes right off with a rag and detergent or a mild solvent, if necessary. I like white tape and this stuff stays bright white like it came out of the box. Amazing stuff that way. I always liked the feel and grip of lizard skins 2.5 mm, but that tape gets dirty and I could never get it clean. I highly recommend this Fizik tape.

Excellent tape. A tad hard to install,
This is a review for black Fizik Performance bar tape. It seems like all Fizik tape is generated under this review. It's thick, stiff, a little hard to install. You have to wrap slow and pull hard, it won't tear. This tape has a small raised ridge, this is where you start your over lap, however you can't do this around the bends. Go slow making sure you don't leave any gaps. If you do, no worry, it has a light adhesive backing and you can pull it off and try again. I really like the feel of this tape. Makes my bike feel different. Fizik bar tape is noted for being very long lasting and durable. The end pugs don't need a couple of layers of electrical tape, they fit nice and snug. I use black electrical tape for finishing tape, and cover it with the Fizik finishing tape. I have 44mm bars and I had to cut off a lot of tape, so you get more than enough. I had to struggle a little when installing this tape, but the end result was worth it. This tape looks and feels great, What else do you need? Great price at Amazon. Do it.

OCD-Proof
Cyclists are a funny bunch. Many of us insist on white saddles and bartape. White, porous surfaces on a chain-driven machine with grease points everywhere that is operated in varied conditions across different terrain. This leads to an almost equal amount of time cleaning off the bike as being on the bike. Wives and girlfriends become dismayed. The Fizik bartape--outside of being durable, tenaciously grippy and sublimely comfortable--is coated with magic that allows it to remain a stunning shade of white even after hundreds of miles. After 6 months and several hundred miles only the Fizik logos are starting to fade. The grime, blood and grass stains (related incident) wipe off with a baby wipe or a moistened hundred dollar bill.Fizik Microtex bar tape. It looks great and it saves relationships.

Always white?
This is the best white bar tape I've ever used. It just keeps staying white! And when it does happen to get dirty, the grime comes off in an instant with a few wipes. I could go on, but it's really that simple.Only downside (I know!), which was obviously a business decision by Fizik, is that the wrap is slightly too short. I had to re-wrap my bars a few times in order to correctly space the tape so it would reach the top. That was a little frustrating and is something that should not be an issue with a couple more inches of tape. Bad, Fizik! How much money did that save you and how much frustration did you bring your customers with that decision? Anyways, you lose a star for that. No excuses.
