Will do the job.
Good, soild paddle. This is required, and not going to be actually used. I bought orange, because you can use it as a daytime signal for help......on a lake or pond. It collapses to a very manageable size, and will fit practically anywhere. Plastic over an aluminum shift, so durability could be an issue. Overall seems great to me, for my Ca. boating requirement.

Great paddle
We lost all of our paddles, but this one. It works well with our stand up paddle board and fits nicely in the bag.

Fantastic buy while floating down the river without a paddle!!
My daughter and I go on a lazy river outing at least once a year in our local state park and have done this for years. The business we rent the tubes from usually allow us to have an oar to use to push away from the banks or fallen trees during our adventures...until they didn't. "You will just go in circles." Not when we tether 3 tubes together into a triangle (gotta have one for the cooler) kinda need some assistance to get us out of jams. The last trip of the season in 2024 I bought this while floating down the river...we were using a stick and it helped, but just wasn't the same. We got to use the paddle today and it worked like a charm!!! Will never lazy river float without it. Easy to extend out to push off of logs/banks and even with the current pushing us the paddle never buckled, bent, collapsed...very durable. Highly recommend. Perfect size (compact) to sit next to the cooler and the blade itself is a decent size to use without needing to extend the handle out.

Sunfish Sailboat Owners, the length is actually 21” collapsed...but read on for solution
Sunfish Sailboat owners... beware the length is actually 21” collapsed. It doesn’t fit well in the cubby. You have to cock it up and across. This stops a cooler or dry bag from being able to be put in with the paddle. This is a good quality paddle, took off a star for the dimensions being incorrect. Amazon should correct this... Try the Seachoice 71090, but modify is slightly so the end cap stays on. The adhesive will let go eventually and the end cap will come off allowing the shaft to stick out of the end. Put in two offset rivets through the endcap, so it stays on. I offset them so the rivet would not face down and mark up the cubby. The endcap extends 1 1/4” into the paddle blade shaft so there is plenty of room to install them. To remove it, just tap, tap, tap the end of the paddle with the shaft. Go slowly so the end of the shaft does not come out, it takes a little patience to get it back in if it does. 😊 to SAILING!!!

Good buy
The size is great to keep in my jetski and I like how it slides out and locks in place it works well and is very durable.

Great for tubing down a river!
This paddle is excellent for tubing down the river and getting yourself out of jams such as flowing towards a branch, fallen tree or when you're not moving at all. My friends all gave me a hard time when I brought it along but as the float went on, they were asking me to pass the paddle to them because they were headed straight for a tree that had fallen into the river. By the end of the float every one of my friends apologized for giving me a hard time and ordered one for themselves.
