The design of this Echo Dot (3rd gen.) holder is almost perfect. It's simple, sturdy, and sleek. It has a built-in track in the back that allows you to hide the power cord, unseen. I tried a few other similar products and this one is the best it. If you're looking for something like this, buy this one.The only (very minor) issue is that the pictures here don't show that the cord has to peek out a tiny bit at the bottom, where it plugs into the dot itself. Not a big deal, but the pictures here are a tad deceptive; they must have been taken without a power cord.

Convenient for space saving

This is such a cool design. It keeps Alexa off my counter and hides the plug. I love it.

I needed a mount for the Echo Dot third generation that was strong enough to mount horizontally or vertically. As can be seen in the picture, my outlets are horizontal, and a backsplash interferes with the positioning of the mount in a normal vertical orientation. So I needed to be able to orient the wall mount in a horizontal orientation, as shown, not just vertical.The wall mount consists of two pieces of injection-molded plastic, one that inserts into the other for a snug fit around the A/C adapter. The plastic is strong and is also reinforced with struts. The Echo Dot snaps into the mount.Instead of having a shorter wire from the A/C adapter to the Echo Dot, as with the previous mounts I bought on Amazon.com for Echo Dot versions 1 and 2, this one has a recessed area underneath the mount to capture the excess wire.There were no instructions included with my mount, but it was easy enough to figure out.My only worry when buying this mount was some previous reviews about this and other mounts that claimed that the mount slipped out of the outlet. That was not a problem with my mount and outlet. I suspect that the previous reviewers had old outlets that don't grip the prongs of the A/C adapter well, allowing it to slip out. That's a problem with the wall outlet, not the mount.

Great product. Fit is snug and there are tracks behind it that the cord wraps into. When attached, the power port and audio port are both accessible on the bottom. Due to the weight of the Dot, the best configuration is for it to hang down. Unless you have a new outlet that is tight, it will be too top heavy for the Dot to be on top. I recommend this product.
