Meng U.S. Cougar 6x6 MRAP Vehicle Model Kit

Best model I've had on my bench in a while. Great instructions, wonderful fit and a nice looking truck. I'm told it's actually a little too long compared to the 1:1 version, but I can't tell. I wish it had a better explanation of the differences between the two options it can be built as, but that's picking a nit. It beats the heck out of the various other MRAP's available just now - I'm especially looking at you, Kinetic! All in all, a fine stack of styrene.

This model can be built in two different versions. There are decals for four different military units. The instructions did not indicate this; but by leaving several parts unglued, I was able to make the front wheels steerable.Like: The kit is molded in desert sand color, and 8 vinyl tires are included. Plastic parts fit well, and were molded with very little flash. The instructions included good historical data and basic technical specs.Dislike: A 6x6 Cougar has two crew members and can carry 8 soldiers, but no figures are included. The interior is fully detailed; but the doors and hatches are not hinged and can only be assembled either opened or closed.

Missing poly caps to attach wheels, no p/n on instructions. Had to contact meng, parts are on the way, I hope.

This is a great model for those that like modern military machines.Everything goes together so well that glue is almost not needed.I didn't have any steps that took hours to figure out.Oil drums are not included.Just a few fiddly bits.I would recommend this to any that like models. I would buy again.

The model does not come with an engine. There is nothing on the box, that says, it does not come with an engine.

Model arrive as stated. It was well package and no damage. The contents look great. Nice detailing. Have not built the kit as of yet, but looking forward to doing it.

Meng produces some of the best kits on the market. This is no exception. You can read many reviews on line for this kit, including parts count ease of construction and numerous other criteria. All I can say is this is a really fun kit that goes together flawlessly and produces a accurate model of the Cougar. I like painting but I like the construction end of the hobby much more. This is my kind of kit.

Beautiful kit. A lot of parts, no flash and great moldings with a lot of detail. This kit will take awhile to build and wioll look beautiful when added to my collection.
