Very cool
Got this for my boyfriend for Christmas. Then found out he had been cheating on me. At least he has something that will be a constant reminder of how awesome I was. Works great.

Great for hunting
Solid light and has held up very well during several hunts. Tracks a blood trail very well and is very bright. Not sure how long they last but, I have not had to replace the batteries yet.

Works good but….
BUY THIS LIGHT!! It definitely highlights blood! That, I love about it! It also highlights anything else that’s red as well, like leaves. So, given that I say it’s as advertised and it is very durable. It’s heavy, feels well made and I have used it in the field. I knew where my deer dropped but I tested the light just to see it preform. It’s definitely a permanent tool in my hunting pack because when all those dropped leaves are brown and grey in December, you’re gonna thank me for convincing you to buy this. If I lost it I’d definitely buy again!

Great product, great warranty
The color is great - it really does make the blood trail much more visible. Unfortunately, the on/off switch was crummy. Button wasn't great from the get-go, but completely stopped working at about 2 months - just beyond the return window. Going to be a tough call putting down this much money again. If you get this, shell out for the extended warranty option.UPdate: Color is amazing - really makes the blood trail far easier to spot. If you see reviews that say otherwise... well, some people are color blind. I had a problem with the button after 2 months and called customer service - super easy and they sent me a replacement without giving me a hard time. Turns out manufacturer warranty is 1 year. Best NOT to shell out any additional money for extended warranty.

Great Blood Light!
Got my first chance to try this light on Oct. 23, 2018. I got a good hit on a doe with a Spitfire broadhead and was eager to try this thing out. I hunt a lot in the evening, and after reading the positive reviews, I decided if it helped me to recover just one deer, it was worth the $50 bucks I gave for it. I will say that it does exactly what it claims. All colors that are in the “red/orange” area of the color spectrum somehow absorb the light this thing emits. Consequently, it does make these specific colors stand out more than with an ordinary light. I used it side by side with a standard LED light that evening and I must say I was impressed with its performance. It has two brightness settings, and I actually found the lower setting to be the better of the two. The light is a bit heavy, but IMO well worth carrying on those evening hunts. Now with this said, I did notice that the blood stood out better on certain backgrounds than it did on others. Also, I probably wouldn’t let this light fully replace your standard light for general use. I also cannot speak to its durability and battery conservation, as I’ve only used it the one time for like 30 minutes. I will say from now on it will be a utilized tool in my arsenal for evening deer hunts.

Works great when it is working properly.
So the light doesn't necessarily make blood pop out, as it makes the color red in general pop out. Which also means shades of red and orange also pops out. Not a big deal really unless you come across weeds that have shades of red in it. If you're not paying close enough attention, you might immediately think it's blood on the weed instead of it just being the weed itself. I did have this happen to me, but luckily I noticed the weed had shades of red in it and I didn't go off in the wrong direction. It feels quite a bit heavier than any of my other lights, especially size for size, but considering how well reds pop-out, adding the weight to my bag is worth it if it helps me find my blood trail more easily. One thing about this light I am not liking though is how it seems to be quite sensitive to the batteries you place in it. I'm guessing if the batteries are down to a certain charge or there is something about the batteries this light doesn't like, then the light will randomly start blinking on and off. I happened to have 24 of these cr123 batteries on hand, all the same brand/manufacturer but different batches. Three different sets (4 batteries per set) of these batteries caused my light to blink off and on at random, and 2 sets of batteries did not. It worked perfectly fine. So perhaps there is something about this light that makes it sensitive to the batteries being installed? Which is extremely frustrating since the batteries were all new and not expired.I don't know what I will do if I have to buy 20 batteries in hopes of getting 1 set that actually works correctly in this light when this set of batteries finally dies. When this light begins to blink off and on, it is very FRUSTRATING to deal with, especially when you're in the middle of tracking and it's pitch dark outside. It really messes with your vision going from a bright light, to sudden darkness, then a bright light again, over and over again. When it starts doing this, I tend to just turn it off and go back to a regular flashlight instead, just to keep it from screwing with my eyes/vision.
