Are they 4 Individually Boxed Glencairn Glasses or all 4 glasses in a plain box?

These are NOT shipped in a 4 piece retail box. These are pieced out from 6 piece wholesale boxes and packed (4 glasses) into a 6 piece box with bubble wrap. If you want the retail package of a 4 piece box - do not order this. I have ordered twice and both times these were open box items packed into a 6 piece box with bubble wrap to fill the blank spots.

The Amazon.com description mentions "dishwasher safe". Is this correct?

They are most definitely dishwasher safe but I find them to be very fragile, so I hand wash. I'm afraid the mouth will break if not properly and carefully loaded in the dishwasher.

If you are using the glass as intended as a whiskey tasting glass, the capacity intended would be 2 ounces.This gives the whiskey room, for proper tasting. Filled to the rim would be about 7 ounces. We are pleased with them for tasting whiskey. I'd recommend them if that is your intention.

Are these made by Glencairn Crystal? (is that name etched on the bottom?)

Mine were Chinese knockoffs..no brand name etched on bottom, plain glass, shipped in plain cardboard and just wrapped once in bubble wrap- miraculously shipped from China without cracking. but German-made, original Glencairn crystal...NOPE
