I don't often write reviews, but I like this knife
I've had this knife for just over a year. I expected the price to have gone up since then, because I think it is a really good knife for the money. As long as you are someone that doesn't mind sharpening your knife regularly. I probably sharpen it every month or so. To get a knife better than this one, you'll probably have to spend $100 or so. I have carried this knife everyday for a year. I hunt and camp a lot. Plus I use it in daily applications, yard maintenance, etc. I have found it to be sturdy. No wobble in the blade. I am pretty rough on most of my knives and this one has held up better than the Spydercos I've had in the past. Some of the coating on the blade has come off, but I expected that due to the amount that I use it. If I have on pants, this knife is in my pocket. It did come sharpened on one side only, or I would have given it 5 stars. But, over time I have remedied that. and now you would never know that it came that way. I have managed to put an edge on it from both sides.

Ridiculously good for the price
Wow this knife touched my heart, immediately. AUS8 steel with an edge from hell. It is the sharpest knife I have bought out of the box, sharper than my Benchmade Griptilian (which due to financial situations I had to sell and replace with this, I actually like it more and since it is so much less expensive I am not afraid to beat it to death). The clip is not too tight which is a common problem on less expensive knives. The action and frame lock are both very sturdy feeling. The blade is heavy enough to fling out with your thumb without any wrist motion. It is just tuned in really well right out of the box which is so refreshing because typically knives at this price just don't come perfectly set up for every day use. The handle is a little long but I am not complaining as my hands are pretty large. The profile is as thin as you are going to get while still have a very solid frame lock, which again, is a rare quality in a 'cheap' knife. Given everything the Avispa has to offer, I would not be displeased if I paid $80 for it. If it was made in the USA to the exact level of quality it already is, it would easily be at least a $70 knife. For $33 you have got to be kidding me. ESEE has knocked it out of the park with this knife. My ONLY complaint is that the handle is a little longer than I am used to for a 3.5 inch blade, which I am already fine with.

Excellent knife especially for the price!
Love this knife! I've read some mixed reviews about the thickness of the handle and the grind on the blade, but for me the handle is great and the blade looks perfect. I will probably change the orientation of the clip to tip-up, but for now it is fine as-is. Razor sharp and seems to have stood up to plenty of cardboard so far. I have a rotation of pocket knives (based on where I leave them/forget them) that includes gerber, kershaw, extrema ratio and now this.Pros:1. I like the size of the handle and blade. Thin but substantial. Length is great.2. The tolerances seem tight but not overly tight. Blade movement is perfect - requires an intentional push to flip open.3. Great edge from the factory.4. Price. I prefer this knife to my gerber and kershaw knives that were as or more expensive.cons:1. I can see the metal side of the handle being very slippery in wet conditions.Overall I love it. I will be buying several more as gifts this holiday season, and may grab a few more for myself.

Perfect EDC knife.
This is my second Avispa due to me loosing my first one in the woods. Excellent EDC knife. Comes razor sharp and holds its edge. Also very easy to sharpen. It has a large handle that feels good in the hand. The plastic handle scale, which lis only on one side due to the blade lock, feels good and is not cheap plastic by no means. Once broken in, the blade flings open very easy with one flick on your thumb. I carry it every where I go and have even used it to break down / skin deer on hunting trips. 5 total and 1 turkey. Over all good knife with nothing bad to say about it. Can’t go wrong with it.

My favorite knife
I purchased this knife because it was a great price for a legendary design. Have always loved RAT knives same designer. This knife doesn’t disappoint. I carry this knife all the time have only sharpened it once. Have used it for every day tasks from opening packages, stripping wire, cutting weed eater line. I have gutted & skinned two deer with it with out sharpening in between . It does need to be sharpened now but completely understandable . Everyone who uses this knife likes it & comments on it. I have even caught my wife using it on occasion. This knife is a workhorse that carries well & I would trust my life to it.

Great deal, excellent choice for a EDC
Love love love this knife! Definitely a worthy addition to add to any collection and a great choice for a EDC. Be warned though, it is a long blade so check your local knife laws. I have large hands so I like a larger knife and this is definitely that. If you have smaller hands this might not be the best choice for you. It’s verh slim in your pocket so you barely notice it’s there. Comes razor sharp too. I love the tan G10 handle and the black finish on the blade. For under $40 you can’t get a better knife.

Doesn't feel like a true ESEE
I'm a ESEE fan boy. This does not feel like a true ESEE if that is what you're looking for. Made in Taiwan with Aus8 steel. Handle is not uniform in color, only one side was coyote tan. Other side was black. Not a deal breaker. For the price point there are way better options out there around the same money.
