Beyond expectations for a 2 year old used phone.
Went from an LG V10 and now to this beauty. Loved my LG V10. Had it for 3 years and 6 batteries. It just wouldn't stop going, other than the short battery life and failing charging port. After putting the phone through hell, it was showing its age and decided to get an upgrade. I have always got a new phone from Verizon, but was kinda bummed by the pricing of the V60, G8X, and even the V50. Then I learned how Verizon Capitalized their Company where you have to buy a Verizon phone for it to work. Even with the pricing of used phones, Verizon is more expensive. The V40 from a third-party seller was the option I took. Not being able to see the phone I am buying had me concerned with what I would receive, but the phone I received was in perfect condition, and battery was at 76%. The Generic charger and cord was garbage and did not charge the phone. Had me worried, but a good USB Type C cord and charger works great. My Verizon Nano SIM card and sd card mounted the first try and used LG's transfer software to basically make my new phone setup like the old one in a matter of minutes. After using it for 2 months, Battery life has been good, but GPS based gaming will always run down the battery of any phone. I don't like that phones are going for the taller, more slim screen (16:9 V10 / 18:9 V40), but unfortunately; you have to adapt with newer tech. The camera has seemed to improve too. It's nice having a wide lens for when you need it, and the Manual Camera for photos and video are just as good if not better than it was on the V10. Audio quality from the phone's speaker, headphone jack, and Bluetooth are amazing. I love how the V series phones continues to have the best audio in mobile phones. The DAC is upgraded, the speaker is as loud as a cheap Bluetooth speaker, and the 10-band equalizer applies to even the Bluetooth devices, which I couldn't do on the V10. The features that both the phone and Android 10 offer makes this 2 year old phone a joy to use daily. I do wish that they kept the second screen instead of the AOD. Didn't realize how great that second screen was until it was gone. I got a nice case and screen protector and ready to face the world with the MIL spec and IP68 rating.Other than that. I look forward to having this phone until it finally dies.

I love this phone
I have bought this phone 3 times and used it for 8 years. I love the phone and it is very easy to use. The design is excellent. The only downside is the sound quality of the music through the phone speaker. It is not nearly loud enough but I like my music and alarms to be loud. I love that it is 4G also. To say that 5G is dangerous is an understatement.

Sticker on the back stated Made in China.
I assumed that all LG phones came from either Korea or Vietnam. Not factory reset when receive. I hope that this knock off works as well as the original LG V40 worked.

Phone with dead battery.
The media could not be loaded. The phone came in a new brown cardboard box, with a generic charger and USB type C cable, the phone looked like new, with no scratches, no dents, no smells, dust, or any signs of wearing, not even fingerprints on it.The phone arrived at home around 4:30 PM, with 37% battery, tested the cameras, mic, speakers, and buttons, and proceeded to leave the phone on the table, at about 6 pm the phone was completely "dead", I thought it was kinda weird because an idle phone with that much battery even with apps running in the background usually lasts longer than 2 hours (the phone doesn't have any app installed). I didn't care too much about it and decided to plug it into the charger, the screen turned on, and displayed a message like "Phone will be fully charged in 3 hours 27 minutes" and left it charging.I came back about 4 or 5 hours later and to my surprise, the screen showed charging 0%, I decided to try with another charger and with another cable, and the result was the same, not charging at all, left the phone sitting there for about 2 more hours with a different charger and cable, but nothing changed, the screen was still showing "Charging 0%". Called a friend who works in a smartphone repair shop, and he told me the phone is not holding charge, so the battery is pretty much dead, and that the repair would cost around $ 120. (I was shaking my head in denial)Soooo apparently, this seller only cares about the aesthetic of the product but neglects its technical inspection. A product that looks like new is useless if it doesn't work.I'm leaving the country tomorrow, that was the main reason to buy this phone, sadly looks like I'm stuck with a fancy RENEWED paperweight.UPDATE: After further inspection, decided to use a wireless charger, and the Phone is charging and holding the charge well.In the end, it turned out to be a faulty charging port, and not a battery problem.(the Phone is still not charging via USB-C port)

This phone does everything that I says it does and then some and it's beautiful
I was kind of skeptical getting a LG unlock GMS phone I was very hopeful that it will work on my service which is MetroPCS I can assure you I got the phone and her to send card did not work now here's the thing what you need to do any time you get one of these kind of phone so it GSM unlock you have to call your service provider give him I am e model number provided with the services are added to this phone it activate it and it was simple is taking 5 minutes to do all the functionalities work on this phone the bloatware is from AT&T but I put that in the small file and put it somewhere else other than that his phone works great and when I got it renewal I was skeptical to think that this phone was brand new when I got it no scratches and nothing on it so I must say great job nobody can even tell that it was a refurbished phone I am well pleased with my purchase well I purchase again heck yeah and well worth the price from a 900 dollar phone when it first came out
