I bought a refurbished iPad First generation from this seller seeing the positive reviews about the seller. The product reached my hands days before the expected delivery date , and it exceeded all my expectations. I have nothing negative to comment about it. I was a little scared to go for a refurbished-first generation!, but once it's in my hand now, i don't feel any difference with the Galaxy note and Kindle HDs new ones comparing with this. The display is awesome! . I will surely go for a latest gen iPad after a few months. This is my first apple product and i like it. All credits go to the seller as it is a refurbished one. Thanks Hollywood Merchandise!Cons:I should not say this as a con, as it was already mentioned at time of purchase. The OS is iOS5.1, so many apps cannot be installed as it requires iOS6+.

This older iPad served its purpose as a test unit until its useful life expired.

For an Apple item, this is one of the few that I've had myself. I got this back in early 2011, for my college studies. This ran like a champ for being used. It had little tiny dings in a corner, but it worked and worked well. Heck, it's still working, I just finally upgraded to an iPad mini since this original iPad stays at home being used more for movies, music and bedtime stories. It's been awesome for my uses.

I purchased a new iPad for myself 2 years ago and love it! My daughter wanted one so I purchased a used one through Amazon. Works great but software is only IOS 5.1 needs to be a 6.1 too download games. I called apple and wanted to charge me $16 for tech help. This is BS , I was going to buy a MAC Computer for my home $$$$$ but now I will buy something else. They can go to H E double hockey sticks. I will never buy another Apple Product EVER !!

I received my new iPad this past week and have been exploring the capabilities. I have to agree that the iPad is a very impressive device. I've only used my iPad with my home wireless network, but I anticipate that will I use it for casual browsing and reading more than my laptop. For more detailed browsing, correspondence, etc., the iPad is not really a practical alternative to the laptop. The iPad is well suited for the social networking functions with some nice apps for accessing Facebook, Twitter, etc. For those who are considering purchasing an iPad, I recommend it for entertainment use though it is not an essential product for the average computer user.

All others that I know that bought an iPad with wyfy plus 3G, the sim card was in the iPad and ready for the cellular data to be set up. I had to find out where I could buy the sim card and purchase it. The 4-g computer should state in their description of product that no sim card is included with the purchase of this product. They were given as gifts and when they tried to set up the cellular data, surprise - NO SIM CARD!!!

Not only is this much cheaper in todays day with so many iPad Successors but the first Gen iPad is still very useful and fast so if you never had the chance to dive into Apple's iPad because it was expensive, you have no excuse now. I would recommend anyone to give it a shot. It's as useful as any android tablet on todays market but probably slightly slower due to iOS7. The winning difference? The much bigger screen and as far as tablets go. This should suffice with its comparable prices..you could even take a look at the iPad 2 for a camera now and save money. Beware of hardware incompatibilities though, not all iPads are built the same.

I received my iPad 3G with a missing SIM. The packaging (back of the box) clearly stated that a micro-SIM was included. Since the description of this item seems to attempt to absolve the seller of resposibility, I contacted Apple. I was not happy with Apple's response to the issue, since they claimed to be unable to provide a micro-SIM even though they are including them according to the packaging. In my previous iPad, I did receive a SIM. Apple forwarded me to AT&T, who then proceeded to tell me that they would not send me a SIM free of charge. Not willing to accept that the burden should be on me for this SIM card, I complained via Amazon. The seller promptly sent me a SIM card, but it didn't work. So I ended up having to go to an AT&T store and try to get them to swap it for a good SIM. I was successful, but I expect a much better buying experience than this from all parties.
