Good product, easy to use, great value vs dealer replacement
Bought in April of 25' for $6.95. Sometimes the outer case holding the car key bit and remote control just can't hold it all together anymore. This is a perfect replacement key cover for the 3rd generation CRV (2007-2011) I suspect this case will fit almost all the older Honda 3 button key sets (lock, unlock, panic). It's pretty easy to replace and only takes a few minutes.

Cheap and easy replacement
Rather than paying out the rear to replace a broken key for my 2004 Honda Pilot, I chose this route. I just removed the screw from the back of the old key fob and removed the key and guts and put it into this replacement. It was very simple and feel and looks just like the original, same thickness. The key and buttons all function correctly.

Easy installation
This key shell fit my 2012 Honda CRV key. Definitely recommend it was easy for me to replace everything just get some glue that’s all you need, they provide the rest. This definitely saved me over 300$ instead of getting a key cut and re programmed I just changed the shell. Definitely recommend 10/10

Great Value, Works on 2008 Honda CRV. Needs better quality screw
My old key case cracked and broke and I was walking around with my trashy taped up key. Ordered this shell as I needed a replacement. The installation took 5-10 minutes and mostly took that long because I had to watch some tutorials. I did have trouble figuring out how to reassemble the fob back together. The key portion does need to be SLID into the non button side (sliding from the top down) then the 2 halves can be snapped back in place. My 2008 Honda CRV key fit perfectly. Some reviewers mentioned that the key holes don't entirely line up and they had to drill or enlarge the whole for it to line up. I did not have to do that at least with my fob. However, I initially attempted to re-use the OEM screw that came in my old fob but it was slightly thicker than the one provided and could not be used. I did end up using the screw that came in the kit and it did fit, however once I applied more pressure to tighten the screw (which you do need to put some downward pressure) the screw began to strip. I had to stop. The screw did go in well enough that it was sturdy and secure but it sticks out just a hair and isn't as flush as the original. I could purchase a silicone cover to 1. protect the key fob and 2. bring that smoothness back so it's not a deal breakerAll in all, it's not a 100% perfect fit but it is a great fit for a Honda CRV and for $5.50 it is absolutely worth it. Going to a dealer or anywhere else would have been way more costly and honestly not needed. The only con I had was the screw quality, therefore 4 stars.

Quick and easy repair
Simple to replace and tighten securely. Added a rubber cover too. Inexpensive and seems solid. Everything worked right away.

Worked like a charm.
Worked perfectly. I had to use pliers to get the old screw out of my broken key, but putting it back together was easy.

some modification required; missing instruction; screw strips
For a 2007 Honda Fit, my key blank was different than others pictured.. To be able to install the screw properly, straight down, I had to grind/file away some of the key blank so the screw could go in straight down. The next thing was missing instructions regarding how to put the key into the case.. the OEM case the key just sits inside, clamped by the screw and case. This replacement has a different design, where you need to slot in the key into the opposite half of the case than the remote. You do not want to try to force close the case, everything should be very easy to put together.Lastly, when installing the screw, the plastic stripped very easily. I noticed it stripping and stopped.. but we'll see how long it lasts. I would recommend using only two fingers very lightly to fully tighten the screw.Seems good, hope it lasts! Better instructions would make it a 4.5 star (the last half star would be having to file the key blank which seems like an incompatibility for my car?).

This is what you’re looking for. Get it.
This thing is way better than I expected. The fit is super tight to the point of it being annoying to put together but after getting it, if I bought the car like this it wouldn’t even cross my mind that it’s not a factory key. Very tight.3 things to consider when assembling/disassembling:First is that there is a hook that holds the end with the key ring together on this key and the factory key. So this hook needs to be engaged first when assembling and taken apart last when disassembling. To get it open if your key isn’t completely broken you need to pry the shell apart at the screw end.Second is the little screw. If you have to force it, it’s not lined up. Once it starts to thread in, go easy on the torque because it’s easy to strip.Third, the metal key part needs to go INSIDE the little plastic bit. That took me way too long to figure out.
