Nice head unit for single or GM 1.5 din installs
Replaced a factory GM 1.5din unit in my custom audio install, did not want to modify my dash for a 2din and wanted a screen for a backup cam, works nice, easy enough controls once you figure them out and looks good, nice bright display too.Wired via rca’s to an amp, so can’t say if built in power can push speakers with any clarity, but the EQ functionality is nice to customize the sound to your liking once you dial in your amp.The camera button is a good touch as well, turn it on whenever you like, it’s a nice modern unit when you have limited options and don’t want to or can’t hack up your dash. After owning for a bit would like to add the following: built in software could use a bit of polish, it defaults to FM on power up if you disconnect from the iPhone or Bluetooth input, would be better if it remembered the last used input and some of the functions are hidden behind long button presses/semi hidden menus, would have been better to add them to the main menu even if you had to scroll a bit further. Pairing via Bluetooth is fairly easy and the speakerphone function works surprisingly well. It’s also a shorter unit as it has no CD player, so was able to coil and stuff the extra rca cables behind it, that’s a plus. Overall better than I expected for the price and a lot cheaper than a CarPlay single din unit.Would also like to add that I dislike the front usb, would have bee better to have a rear one and could run the cable to where it’s needed.Update: JVC released a new firmware (10/19) and Bluetooth audio sounds better and connects faster, also it now seems to hold the last input used, also fixed a small issue with time setting via radio RDS, have not noticed anything else different

Upgraded my radio system in my Chevy Malibu 2000
This was a great upgrade for my Chevy Malibu 2000. Just amazing sound quality. Before, the radio barely caught any channels and had static in the sound, and I had no way to connect Bluetooth in my car. This solved my problem. There are a few minor quirks, and the fqct we had to get it professionally installed, but overall it was worth it.Pros:-Quality sound-Easy and quick to connect to Bluetooth-Customize sound dynamics, like the beats-Easy to navigate music, like Spotify-Comes with USBCons:-Needs to be professionally installed if you do not know anything about cars and/or electric-Cannot customize color or background-At first, panel was confusing to understand and navigate-Cannot play Bluetooth music and take pictures at the same time (I tried to take a video of the sound while on Bluetooth, but it would not let me)

okay
good well good but not perfect , screen is small so its hard to see but what do you expect from a single din , i would say my sony has a better tuner , but works for the price could use a week to get a 5 star

Great Stereo
I give this 5 stars, but not sure if this will show up as 5 stars or not because I didn’t rate the touch screen, as it doesn’t have one or even advertise that it has one. Not sure why that is asked of me to rate. This is a great head unit! It installs very simply like most other head units and is shorter in depth so it makes pushing the wires in behind it much easier. This has a ridiculous amount of sound settings/eq settings. It does take some playing with to get it sounding right, in my opinion. The menu also takes a little getting used to, but you quickly get it and it’s not a big deal. The Bluetooth hooks up quick each time I enter the car without me pressing anything and begins to play automatically. It pulls the signal strong from inside my house sometimes when I step inside for a second with the vehicle on. I rarely use the FM, which is probably the least friendly to use as the presets are hidden in the menu. It goes fairly quick to change to the next preset, but not as fast as having buttons 1-6 like other stereos have. If you listen to one station mostly and go not bounce around from station to station, it is sufficient. The signal is strong also for FM.I have a camera hooked up to it. You basically get to pick between being able to use the camera button and turn it on manually or set it up to use when you put the car in reverse. While you could come up with some solutions around this, and I may do so in the future, it will take a little thought and wiring know-how because of the power issue to the camera. If you power the camera from the reverse lights, it works to turn the screen on automatically when you shift to reverse. It senses the voltage and turns the camera screen on. You cannot power the camera for reverse and manual though without possibly back-feeding your reverse lights with voltage making your reverse lights come on driving down the road if you wanted to see behind you. You would need to power it apart from the reverse lights. Trying to do both (without resistors or some ingenuity) will knock out the auto-sensing reverse feature or light up your back-up lights at strange times. I wish the device had a way around this since it has a cool camera button front and center, but this is the way most stereos work.
