Extend Bar, Chocolate & Caramel, 1.48 oz. Bars (Pack of 15)

Giving the product 5 stars taste great and doesn’t effect my glucose level. I have one issue with the delivery. Delivery in my account says given to resident..... not true package was left outside an apartment building where we put the trash....I normally get great delivery service outside my door... last few times it’s been left outside my apartment building...how hard is it to walk up a flight of stairs.....then lie about where it was left.....Not Cool.

My diabetes nutritionist recommended for me to keep a steady blood sugar. They are wonderful! Tasty, chewy, nice consistency, the carbs are gradually released and dont peak or crash! Really helpful when I have appointments, travel etc. without good options for staying in healthy balance. The chocolate caramel is by far my favorite flavor!

This was a 1st time buy for me. I like the fact that these are supposed to help control your blood sugar for up to 9 hrs. I can't really tell if they're doing that, but that's the claim. I'm not a fan of stevia as it leaves a funny aftertaste in my mouth I don't like. Evidently I didn't read it closely enough because if I'd seen that, I wouldn't have bought it. However, some people tolerate it just fine. I bought it mostly for the protein because the dr. said I needed more protein in my diet because I've skipped meals for most of my adult life. Since I've been diagnosed with diabetes, I'm trying to eat more regularly & thought this could take the place of one meal. That's what I've been using it for & I guess time will tell whether this is doing any good at all. I guess it's worth a try....

These bars are pretty good since glucerna has stopped making theirs; However, if Amazon is going to start sending chocolate bars to the Sunny South in 79 degree temperatures, I may have to find another vendor. Thanks so much. Product is good; would have preferred UPS to put it on my porch out of the sunlight since it is chocolate and caramel. My postal deliverer isn't too concerned.

Okay, so Yes, these cost more than the other flavors of Extend bars... there is a reason! These are, hands down, the best tasting ones! Not at all like a diet bar and not lacking in taste. They are delicious! I have tried the chocolate peanut butter, rich chocolate, raspberry yogurt kind and one other kind. No comparison to these. They also seem to curb my desire for chocolate and hold me over until lunch.

They taste very good but just not worth the money they cost. Akens are just as good and much cheaper.

Finally!! I am a Type 2 diabetic and kept waking up around 3-4 am every single morning with low blood sugar, and having to get up and eat something. No matter what snack I tried before nighttime, or changing the times I took my medicine, etc. - nothing worked. So I started doing a lot of research and came across these bars. I've tried the chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel flavors so far and the chocolate/caramel is the best. (Chocolate was my least favorite). They're a little pricey, but they do the job. I've been taking them for a couple of months now, and so far I have not been awakened with low blood sugar! They worked for me!

We were buying this at our local pharmacy for $9 for four bars, which is very expensive. This is a much better price plus the bars really work. I have difficulty with low blood sugar sometimes at night, especially if I don't eat well before I sleep. However, eating before I sleep sometimes causes bad indigestion, so I tend to skip my last meal of the day. These really do prevent low blood sugar episodes. I would highly recommend them for people that experience this issue. I eat one before bedtime and don't have to worry all night.
