Important thing to have when you’re ironing sealing film
In the old days I never use this but I started recently and it keeps the film covering clean as long as you pull the film a little taunt this is easier on the film it’s well worth the few extra dollars you have to put in to use it on your plane, these work great I’m probably going to buy five or six

Hanger 9 sealing iron sock
I’ve been using the Hanger 9 sealing iron sock for years. They’re well made, good value as described by the vendor, fits the Hanger 9 sealing iron very well, & arrived on promised date.

Great accessory for your covering iron
Does just what's its supposed to do! Prevents scratches to covering and keeps the iron clean...I've seen some reviews where the buyer was confused by the product and gave bad reviews. This sock is not designed to be opened and the iron is not supposed to go inside the sock. It covers only the bottom. To install you pull the drawstring tight so the sock comes up around the sides of the iron. No sock will last forever they are subject to high heat and the fabric will degrade over time. This is normal!

Hard pass
$8 for this little piece of fabric? Seriously overpriced and leaves lint all over the piece.

Not the quality they used to be.
They still work for low heat but anything above 225 to 250 and they start to break down very quickly. I still by them for lack of a better option.

Fits My 30 Year Old Hobbico Iron
Recently returned to the RC hobby and needed a sock for my old iron. This on fits my 30 year old Hobbico iron perfectly. Very soft material and seems well made.

I had the impression that I'm buying the Iron, instead got just the sock for a very high price (for a sock).
