A worthy Cable for worthy equipment
Working as intended. For me and my basic use as a music/vocal/FX enthusiast I find this cable to be a worthy, and quality cable to keep for all my XLR-based needs. Only issue (not the cables fault) is that it is not long enough after rearranging my setup/positioning of my mic. I will have to order a longer cable to fix this issue. A simple Pros and Cons List below.Pros:-Cheap-Decent size-strong connections-a worth cable to keepCons:-Feels a little lose where the cable connects to the both connectors casing - feels like I might yank it out by mistake.

Solid performance, pro quality
I bought this cord back when I was doing voiceover work. I've done roughly 20 years on the air and knew I wanted quality all around, but didn't want to pay a thousand bucks for something so basic. This little mic cable was exactly what I wanted and the price was very reasonable. It's studio quality and plugs into a standard mic connector on a pro-level mixer board. Just be conscious of the length. If this is for studio work it should work fine. For stage performance, you'll probably need something longer. This is a piece of basic gear that every musician or deejay will want in their sound-equipment toolbox. It's a good solid performer.

Good and inexpensive - Win Win
I originally bought several of these cables to use between our DMX light fixtures. The day they arrived I happened to need a six foot cord on my live mic stand so I tried one of these. The cable is soft and flexible and I could not tell any difference in sound from the custom cable I had been using (that's a good thing, my other cable was very expensive). The connectors are not gold plated but it's an inexpensive cable, it's not pretending to be anything other than a decent low-cost XLR two-conductor shielded cable. It's working for me, I'll be buying more for our studio.

Good Cheap Cable - thin gauge though.
Good basic cable. The gauge is not very thick on the wire at all but this cost like $7 so I'm not expecting much. Works fine. If you're podcasting, you'll be fine with this. If you're a musician, you probably need something a bit more sturdy.

Nice cables. Love those balanced connections.
I use these cables to go from the balanced outputs of my digital piano (I have a pro model with XLR outs) to the inputs of studio monitors or audio interfaces. Works every time. Balanced signal is so much better...no more issues with ground loops or other problems. Just clear as a bell. They were cheap and the build quality is fine.

Why was this shown as recommended with micro microphone?
Nice sturdy cable but I fail to understand how this was ever added to an Amazon recommendationfor use with a micro, omnidirectional head microphone. Not at all compatible with any of theadapters for mini microphones. I returned it with a note to Amazon to delete the "packaging"of this item with the Samson microphones.

Solid cable at a solid price
At 6 feet long, it's clear this XLR cable is suited for short runs. However, this does not mean compromised quality one bit; sturdy metal connectors, a hefty feeling cable, and a low price make this the ideal choice for desktop or rack applications. I'm currently using this to connect a Behringer XM8500 to my preamp for a desktop recording setup; no interference, no loose connectors, no problems.

Perfect Cable For my Needs
I needed this cable for connecting my Tonor condenser microphone to my computer. The microphone came with a cord, but I needed to connect it to a Phantom power box. This neat little cable I purchased with the power box, worked perfectly without slowing anything down. This item was shipped quickly (2 day shipping selected) even delivered on Sunday. I'm very impressed.
