I normally wear a medium but decided to go for a large since a review said it fit small. It fits a little small--the large fit with some room but the dress is laced front and back so there is some give. I probably could have fit in the medium. This has surprisingly good quality for the price. The fabric is a little polyester-y but is matte. The colors are rich and the dress is cut well. I felt regal and dramatic wearing this on Halloween. It will be good in the dress up box for a long time since it is versatile enough to wear in a few ways. It is much more enjoyable to wear than the typical costume because of the quality and the fit.

My 13 yo daughter is wearing this for a school project as Christine de Pizan and it fits her well. She is tall but very small around. The quality is nice for a costume.

A beautiful dress, material is lightweight which is perfect for an April event in FL. Size runs a little small, wish I had ordered one size bigger.

Better material than the really cheap Halloween costume stuff you can get. Very nice item for the price and can be adjusted pretty well in size.
