K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Acceleration: Compatible with 2008-2014 Mitsubishi: Lancer, 69-6544TS

I bought this intake for my 2014 Mitsubishi lancer and i like it alot. It looks good under the hood and makes a nice sound from 2nd gear all the way to 5th gear. Was easy to install but needed to see the video on how to install from the k & n website. Was a little expensive but worth it. People on the road driving next to me notice the sound and turn to look. I notice my car running better than just stock. Fitted great nice and tight. I love the sound. I dont like my car to be quiet while driving .Makes driving more fun ,and my car is stick shift so its even more funner. Makes the engine breath and not all sufficating with the stock intake.

Will this make your car faster? Nop, but it certainly made it louder, i got a 2011 mitsubishi lancer GTS 2.4, when i got the car i deleted the muffler which made it like 30% louder but nothing worthy to the ear, installing this made my engine sound like a baby boxer engine, i attached a video! The car sounded nothing like this, imagine the sound of the video but all muffled like you cant hear it clearly but not i can and i like it, engine bay looks more spacious too, i deleted the air scoop thingy because it becomes obsolete and also deleted the plastic cover at the front of the engine so more air could enter the engine too.

I Have a Lancer Es CVT 2014 2.0 and it fits as a stock part. I had no much experience in mechanic but following the youtube installation video took me like 1 and 1/2 hours, very easy since it is designed to the car. pros: *Got an increase on reaction time when pressing the gas, before that, I was feeling a lag for the CVT every time I just started the car, now it is impressive how that disappeared. *It has improve the consumption and I've earned some millage per liter. *From where I am, the ambient has a lot of pollution and dusk, that turns the red filter brown to fast, but that's mean it is working for what I bought it, is protecting the throttle body for the pollution and protecting it for jam way better than the stock filter from Mitsubishi, and injectors too. *Not sure is this true because is just a feeling, but I think it got an increase in acceleration, I haven't went to check that so, I don't gonna lie Con: *Some ambient checks in Mexico don't want mods on air systems, so it will be needed to going back to original system just for the test. *It make a louder sound when accelerating, like more directly from the motor, some people prefer that, but in personal, I will prefer a loud sound from a huge 5.0 motor than a 2.0 small one, better for me and more comfortable the original silence sound than the one it gives now, but it is just a preference. I will recommend to give it a shoot, specially if you want to start in the mod world.

sounds really good. mpg is improved when i lay off the throttle, but its honestly hard to when it sounds so good. easy install. for first time modders, i recommend making sure you have plenty of time. it took me about 3 hours to install, but it was easy and came with detailed instructions. i was just paranoid about messing something up. doesnt void any warranties unless it is the cause of the problem to your car. No problem as of yet. If youre worried about the product causing problems, then keep your factory airbox to put back on before you take it in to service. K&N million mile warranty for the product. highly recommended. No significant performance gains, but there is a difference in the power curve. more noticeable once youre at speed. buy it.

Reason I bought this is to have my car smog check for the DMV renewal. I have a different air intake on my car but it didn't come with the E.O. card so they couldn't smog check my car. I was planning on buying the stock air box for my car but it's more expensive than K&N. I honestly like this better than the one I had, it makes better sound, better performance overall and also I know the company has the life time guarantee. So I'm happy with my purchase.

Absolutely love my K&N Typhoon short ram intake on my 08 Lancer GTS CVT. It sounds great, was very easy to install, and it definitely makes driving that much more enjoyable. I also love the fact that its CA street legal. When MIVEC hits at about 3500 RPMs the engine comes alive and gets attention. I got mine from Prime from a previous return so I bought it for 180 shipped. SCORE! If you are deciding between this and other intakes and you especially live in CA, why would you save the $20 and buy the Takeda and risk being pulled over, and have to put your stock equipment on every time you need to smog???? Your labor is worth the $20 price difference. Buy the K&N!

Acheté pour ma Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8 MIVEC. Montage assez aisé en suivant les instructions fournies (uniquement en anglais). Au niveau du rendu sonore, impressionnante différence par rapport au filtre d'origine ! Peut être même un peu trop bruyant à mon goût mais ça c'est question de goût. Au niveau performance, je dirais un léger gain de réactivité à bas régime.

sound is soooo great! easy to install unless your bolts are rusted… looks great when you open the hood. Can feel a bit more power than before
