Quite tasty for bread in a can
Purchased as an emergency stock item and since it tasted better than I expected, I am planning to order more.

Very good
I had some doubts about the bread. However it is pretty good. Unless there’s a secret to getting it out of the can. Which was the hard part. Other than that it’s perfect.

Bought this as a gift, and...
So I purchase the B&M Bread as a gift for my mother who said she used to like it. It was two cans and rather expensive for what was received. I guess she ate one can full of bread. Not sure if she finished it, but she gave me the second can. Having never tried it before, I didn't know what to expect. To say the least, this is not really good bread, and definitely not something I would want to eat with any regularity. The product quality seemed good. The cans were in good condition, as were the contents of the can. But this seems like either a very old fashioned product, or something you might put in a panic room or nuclear fallout shelter. It seemed to me to be more like ration bread. Something that is high density and probably fortified with vitamins and minerals, but is otherwise not something particularly tasty to eat. Maybe I am completely wrong and this is a delicacy, but I didn't care for it, and I probably wouldn't buy it again. Since it's not my thing, I'm giving in a 4 star review. For what it is, it's a good product, but the taste is just not for me.

it needs ice cream
I haven't had this since I was a kid, came across it on Amazon and thought I would try it. It's not as sweet as I remember but pretty tasty. I think a slice of it would be perfect underneath a scoop of vanilla ice cream though (and a cherry on top!) Warm and with butter or peanut butter melted on top is reeeeal good too! Thanks to the reviewer who recommended cutting off both ends of the can and pushing the bread out with a spoon, it worked perfectly.

Not great bread, but hey - it's canned
Got these out of pure curiosity to take on a camping trip. Honestly I was expecting a lot worse - these are edible. Are they as good as fresh bread? Of course not! But it will keep for a long time without getting stale or moldy. The bread itself is sort of like a molasses bread - somewhat sweet, with almost a cake like texture. Be careful when trying to heat it, especially if on a griddle like I did. Because of the sugar content it does burn easily if you cook it too fast or too hot.On our camping trip the opinions were fairly evenly split - about half the camp didn't care for it, and about half the camp like it. Overall it was a worthwhile addition our meal that night though. I could also see it serving a nice niche as an emergency food too. After all, what other bread will keep for years?

Delicious
This is much like the plum pudding my mother use to make at Hollidays. Her's was steam baked in a can as well, but was a bit softer in texture. I remove it from the can and refrigerate it. It still keeps fresh for several days. I slice it, and either toast it or eat it untoasted spread with butter or cream cheese.

Ordered 4 cans and 2 are badly dented.
Well I ordered 4 cans and two of them had good size dents. They were dented at the same place in the plastic wrapping. I guess I could send them back, but I don’t know if that’s a good idea as it could be costly and may not be worth the money to do that. I know it seems like it’s not a big deal although the dents are not small. But dented cans can allow air into them and I don’t want to open them only to find out that air did get to them and went bad. I would gladly send them back for un-dented cans though. So I don’t know what to expect out of these cans. But they are really dented, but still a good idea to keep on hand, just not dented.
