Holy Crap! I do so enjoy reading a few graphic novels every year, and this one...check out the amazing cover...is just that.....amazing.My first thought.....Oh No! Standing stones....a circle of 8 standing stones.....or are there only 7? Did I count the stones each time they appeared in a panel.....yep!We all know what happened at the stones in Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER....(if you've read the novel)....and Oh Boy, they SURE do look familiar....but we're not in Scotland and there's no hunky red-headed highlander here....only an evil force."BURN THIS!"......DO IT!N. is a psychiatric patient who delivers an unsettling story....a contagious story of horror and compulsive behavior....with a dark history....and "Ackerman's Field is a truly frightening place, a place where time appears to freeze and sound disappears to the point where you have to strain to hear even the rustle of leaves and strain even more to hear the quiet singing of birds." DO NOT GO THERE!And Yikes!....beware the horrific disturbing end.....not for everyone, but great for avid Stephen King fans!Wonderfully creepy artwork, great introduction....and the chilling story by the master of chilling stories is based on KING's original short JUST AFTER SUNSET....that is now a MUST READ for me!

Super good adaptation here. The art is spectacular because Maleev is one of the best. One of my favorite S. King short stories.

Okay, I'm a big fan of Stephen King's, so I see a title I don't have or haven't seen before and I'm all over it. In this case, I knew it was in paperback; but I didn't realize it was in a comic-book format. I was disappointed; but I sat down and read it anyway. I enjoyed it, my top 10 reads? No! But for what it is, it is good, simplistic, thought provoking and never-ending. To know exactly what I mean, you have to read it.

When I bought this, I thought, from the description given, that this was another Steven King novel. Well, What this really is, is a COMIC BOOK. If that is what you want, fine! I stopped reading comic books around 55 years ago. Since it is a comic book, I haven't read it. The one star review is because I feel that it was misrepresented as a novel, not because of the story content. But then, how much story content can a comic book have? I rest my case. If a comic book is want you want, then buy this, If not, don't buy this.

I should have read the description a little better than I did. I didn't realize that this was a comic type of book. I haven't read it yet, but wasn't really what I wanted. So if you're looking for a regular book, don't buy this.

Just like old times............. this was reading Stephen King at his best from many, many years ago! The copy I have, is done like "Creepshow" was........ sort of in comic book form, although my book is a hard cover. The story was great, and the art work was incredible! I flew through this book......... loving every moment of it. Recommend fans of S. King pick up a copy...... it will not disappoint you!

My first disappointment when I started the book was to find it is an adaptation of a story by King by another author and an artist--but found it well done and worth the read. My first "illustrated novel" since I was a child and I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

Me gustó mucho, es una historia corta, ilustrada. La calidad es muy buena y está en español latino.Al ser novela corta, tiene un poco más texto que los cómics, pero no es mucho como para aburrir. (No tiene tanto texto como Sin City o novelas de ese tipo, solo un poco más que un cómic)Por lo regular trato de comprar la versión americana por la calidad, pero este no le queda a deber nada. Un poco caro, si eres coleccionista dátelo.

After reading this graphic novel, I had to agree with the other customers and rate it four stars. I think you will see why. Although I am a big fan of Stephen I have never read the short story this based on. The comic itself is great and I was sucked relentlessly in. My only complaint is the ending, which was not quite satisfying for me. With all that, I would definitely recommend this to somebody into Stephen or newly into comics (like myself). The artistry was great and this was very much worth the time and money!
