LEGO 60228 City Deep Space Rocket and Launch Control Mars Expedition Set, Space Toys for Kids inspired by NASA with Astronauts, Scientists and Robot Minifigures

My sons and I have really enjoyed this LEGO rocket and launch control. It isn't particularly realistic but it is fun. I mean on the surface it looks great, so who cares if it isn't perfectly accurate. There's only so much that can be put in. That's what using the imagination is about, and besides, the cool rocket tower which falls away in launch is impressive. I also like that feature as it is so robust. The launch control area is fantastically detailed. The front window comes away flawlessly to access the operatives inside. The astronauts transport train / tram will entertain younger kids like mine but frustrate others as it serves little purpose. It comes to an abrupt whiplash inducing stop and when they get to their destination there is no way of entering into the flight deck. This comes with so many cool accessories, there is loads to do and my boys have fun making up scenarios. They're all very detailed. AS usual with LEGO the quality is exceptional. Every piece accounted for.

Brilliant set. My 9 year old is Lego mad and although he found it rather easy to build he loves playing with it. The app was not available on android for a while ( no idea why) which he was disappointed about. Now working and the screen/ sound effect makes it even more fun. Most of his sets gets dismantled after a few weeks and join the general 'comonwealth of Lego' for him to design his own sets - but not this one! 😀

My six years old had a lot of fun assembling this set. It is very nice for displaying in the house and it can be used for playing with the rocket the rail and the countdown.

Bought this as a Christmas present for our son and he couldn't wait to but it together. It took him a few hours to do and was challenging enough to keep him entertained. He loves to play with it afterwards too.

Bought it for my 7 years old son. He enjoyed building it and didn't need any help. There is a problem that the black rocket supporters don't really hold the rocket well, very easy to pop off. Overall my son loves it and bring the rocket everywhere.

Bought this in offer and my child loves it. He built it by himself in a few hours( 11yo) and looks really great. So far the best Lego set we own.

Very clever build for the launch platform and holds the rocket in place very well. Fun use of roller coaster parts also. Only disappointment is it doesn't fit in my ikea dotolf...so good value for money goven the size of it

My eldests favourite xmas gift, the build itself was strait forward and easy, despite looking it it doesnt contain to many fiddly parts. My 4 year old was able to build the rocket and its base with no guidance, the station has some motionble parts which he needed some help with however its sturdy enough that it didnt fall apart after. The play value with the space range is great and all sections are functional for small hands without breaking.

Aldığımız en iyi Lego diyebilirim. Tek kusuru, ana roketin yanındaki iki beyaz küçük roketlerin kapaklarının sürekli düşmesi. Defalarca doğru yaptık mi diye kontrol ettik ve hata göremedik bunun dışında detayları ile, sağlamlığı ile harika bir oyuncak seti. 3 yaşındaki oğlum yapılmış hali ile oynuyor, ileride kendisi de yapacaktır herkese tavsiye ederim.

Muy buena creación de Lego para los amantes de los viajes espaciales en cohetes. Es de los sets que más ha disfrutado mi hijo.

Superbe réalisation Lego, avec un centre de commandement qui fait le compte à rebours, un rail d’acheminement vers la fusée très ludique et des robots au charme indéniable. Une belle réussite mais toujours avec le petit bémol du prix pour les réalisations Lego.

I'm a massive space nerd, and even though no space agency would build a product exactly like this, it's still pretty darn cool and I really enjoyed putting it together. I especially like the detachable booster .... hmm? What's that? Hang on a second, partner is talking to me ... "Whaddya mean not my toy? But I helped build it! She's a kid, she doesn't even .... but it's _my_ Amazon account ... But I ....." It's a great Lego set for kids. Mine really loved it. They're zooming it around the house right NOW!! No! the booster will fall off...! It's OK ... we can put it together again. Yes ... yes it broke didn't it? But it's [swallow] _totally_ OK, really, it's .... it's fine. It's ... _your_ set, yes. Yes.

Eine tolle Lego Rakete samt Kontrollzentrum und kleiner Gleisstrecke zum Startplatz. Im Set sind 837 Teile enthalten, wovon einige auch schöne große Formteile sind. Wie von City gewohnt ist der Aufbau sehr einfach. Mittlerweile sind die Lego-Anleitungen fast so weit vereinfacht, dass man pro Seite kaum mehr als 2-3 Teile aufbaut. Das bekommen auch Kinder hin die jünger sind, als wie von Lego für dieses Set empfohlen, 7 Jahre. Der Aufbau dauert mit Hilfe eines Erwachsenen etwas über eine Stunde. Die Rakete ist modular aufgebaut. Die beiden Seitenbooster und die Raketenstufe lassen sich ablösen. Genauso das Cockpit und das Modul mit der Nutzlast in Form eines kleinen Satelliten. Das Kontrollzentrum lässt sich aufklappen und so gut von innen bespielen. Die kleine Bahn mit der der Astronaut zu seiner Bahn gefahren werden kann ist eine nette Beigabe aber für richtigen Spielspaß etwas zu kurz geraten. Die Teile der Schiene sind die gleichen wie bei der Achterbahn von letztem Jahr. Wer diese sein Eigen nennt kann die Strecke also auch verlängern. Beim Weltraumbegeisterten Sohn kam das Set gut an. An der Rakete lässt sich auch gut demonstrieren wie die Dinger in Wirklichkeit funktionieren und es sind noch viele Kleinigkeiten dabei die den Spielspaß vergrößern. Es wäre schön wenn Lego noch mehr zum Thema Weltraum anbieten würde. Immerhin gibt es die Raumstation 60227 die man mit der Hilfe der Rakete besuchen kann. Wer das Set zu Weihnachten kaufen will sei noch auf das City Stadtbewohner Set 60230 hinwiesen. Dieses lässt sich gut für einen selbstgemachten Adventskalender stückeln. Dann hat man von der Bescherung schon mal eine Menge zusätzliches Bodenpersonal. Fazit: Tolles stabiles Set ohne erkennbare Mängel und mit großen Spielwert. Dafür 5 Sterne und Kaufempfehlung.
