This is my very first review I have ever written for anything on Amazon even though I have purchased items for decades and relied heavily on reviews written by others. I decided to write this review because others thought these electric/battery operated flickering candles might seem a little "cheap", but I just put batteries in all three and I'm sitting here enjoying them as I type this review. These candles aren't for us to keep, they were purchased for a very religious older person whom I know will enjoy the very holy scripture writings and their warm calming glow. I don't think they seem "cheap" at all! I feared they looked a little "dark" when I purchased this Christmas set and worried they might be a "downer" instead of an "uplifter", but there's nothing "down" about them. The main figures on each candle light up perfectly as they flicker with lots of colors, the angel, the wise men and Mary with baby Jesus. They were packed very nicely, unlike other items we've recently received, each candle in it's own labeled bubble wrap sleeve and additional bubble wrap sheets in between them. The candles are extremely light weight without the batteries, but I don't consider that "cheap", they are plastic which I consider better than glass for items like these and have plenty weight with the batteries installed. They are simple to operate and install the batteries with a good battery door & latch. The tiny switch on the bottom says: On, Off & Timer. The pictures are gorgeous and the writings beautifully done. I like them so much, I wish I could keep them.

I had some issues with my initial purchase and this seller went above and beyond to correct it for me. The candles are beautiful and make such a nice gift. Love that they have a timer and flicker like real candles. Highly recommend the product and seller!
