Superb bit of kit. Have fixed so many cars since buying it. Very accurate, easy to use and upto date data. Wish I'd bought one years ago... hope it lasts, time will tell.

An excellent bit of kit for quick diagnostics, covers the four main systems well, updates easily too. It's not a replacement for professional kit with live data reading etc but as a quick code read to start your meter checks etc it works very well, connects easily and quickly. I bought this for home use after a colleague had one on trial (I'm a vehicle tech with 35 years in the trade) and it's a very useful tool. It's far and away better than the Bluetooth/phone app diag setups that are prolific these days and promise the world.

Built well did have a slight issue with trying to do a DPF regen but after calling the support line boom all sorted. Worth the money.

Very useful and it can diagnose quite a number different models of cars

Bought this to do a dpf regen on a audi a3 2015 and adaptations of the pressure sensors. After all the updates, some painfully slow in the Kb/s speed range the unit will go through the menu to force a regen and fail because the unit itself cannot see exhaust temps (you can find them in the sensor list in another section) But because the unit will not allow you to select the sensor the temp reading is "unsupported" The unit is looking in one place for the sensor and its not there. More dpf adaptation areas (pressure sensor) are 'not supported on vehicle' = Well they are if you have a decent scanner.... Useless rubbish, will be going straight back. FYI I discovered that these are Chinese units and support and updates from Launch UK won't happen.

Bought this a couple of months ago to replace an older more basic scanning tool, picked up faults that my old one didn't on my ford Kuga. It does everything I need it to, can't fault it so far.

The scanner did work for a while! After I used it last it did show an update available so I did it and since then doesn't recognise any VIN numbers and every time I try to get to the market app is says that the user is not supported. I know this is an entry level scanner, but it does says in the description that support is available including updates. In reality none of the above is true as no one answers on emails or providers any sort of support. After going forward and backwards with the seller he was able to send me an update which had to be installed manually and the scanner was able to read the fault code. Time will show if the issues have been resolved for good.

I bought this scanner to perform dpf regeneration. The image on the Amazon website showed a screen that can do that. When it arrived, dpf regeneration was missing. I later learned that this model is sent from China and is not backed by Launch UK and that the model I wanted has to come from them. ALL the Launch models on Amazon (and ebay) come from China and if they are faulty Launch UK will not be interested to see to them. Best to visit the Launch UK website if this is important to you. The three star rating is meaningless: it probably does what it is intended for but dpf regeneration and I had to send it back.

About two weeks ago I purchased the Launch CPR129X scanner. If you are looking for a scanner for your own use, this might be a good choice. The price varies. It gives a lot of information, and the firmware comes with a free lifetime update. The scanner also connects to Wi-Fi and allows it to download updates. It also has a "Mall", Store, that you can purchase add on functions. I purchased the add on for GM vehicles that adds more function. This was an added $34 purchase on the mall off the scanner. The add-on features are only good for one year. Reports The scanner allows you to input a business or your personal name and your email address. It will email you a nice-looking report with all the details of the scan results. You can take snapshots of any of the scanner screens that can also be sent to your email address. Live Data You can view live data of anything on the OBD2 connection. It will also live stream graft the data, allowing you to view any changes. This data can also be recorded for capturing any changes and saving them for future viewing. These recordings can also be emailed. My only complaint, the product description offers a free lifetime update service. This is for the base level amount of scan data. If you want the full scan capability, you need to purchase additional firmware from their mall. They are only good for a year and after a year, you need to purchase again. It is still cheaper than other scanners and gives the same results as scanners costing way more. All in all I’m happy with this unit. It feels comfortable to use and seems to be made well. I give it a full 5 stars.
