Fun, but limited & fragile
The toy does what it is supposed to do. The ducks do indeed fly, the wings do really flap, the gun does realistically shoot them down.Although it was not immediately clear to me from the advertisement, you "charge" each bird for each flight using a power outlet that is on the gun. The birds must be charged in between each flight - which last 10-12 seconds. So there's a lot of stop & start to the playing, you spend as much time charging and setting up as you do flying and shooting. The birds themselves are made of light foam and the wings are cellophane. The switches to initiate flight are tiny. Without adult supervision the birds can very easily break. You must handle them gingerly. We had some fun with it, but I would not purchase again.

Only OK
This toy is OK, but that is it. It does work, it is fairly durable but it won't hold your attention very long. You need a large room with no furniture to really use it.

Pretty fun when stuck inside
Duck Hunter is certainly safe to use indoors with out fear of destruction. The wigs are rather flimbsy so try your hardest to keep away from moving ceiling fans! Great for any age: 8-88

Fly Right!
Bought this product for my 8 year old son at the time, practice for the upcoming hunting season, these things do not fly very well, think of a dragon fly with no direction or purpose. It goes up, takes a u turn then plunges to the ground every time. After so many hard crash landings the wings begin to give out. Fun for kids the first couple of times, after that it collects dust.
