This is something handy to have set aside for possible future use. It's pretty common for manufacturers to build in obsolescence. They'll discontinue a model & thousands of owners will have no source from which to buy replacement parts. When I get a new gadget or small appliance I use it intensively for a while to see if I'll really use it. If I have decided that this item is useful then I'll buy replacement parts to have on hand should the need arise. This strategy has served me well over the years & I have been able to vastly prolong the service life of my favorite small appliances rather than having to replace them every few years for some minor problem that I can fix myself. Fit my bella 8qt pressure cooker perfectly. The hole in the metal piece is twice the diameter but seems to seal and work like its supposed to.
