Great controller, give it a chance
Had heard horror stories about the first batch of elite controllers Microsoft released and it is a lot of money to part with compared to the standard Xbox controllers, but I thought I would take the plunge, try the series 2 and hope they had ironed out the defects that many people suffered with from the first edition. When it arrived I was very happy, it comes with a carry case with charging dock inside, various interchangeable thumb sticks, it all looks very smart and secure.Initially when I began using the controller, a couple of the buttons (A button mainly) were sticking. I was on the verge of sending the controller back. After a little research I am led to believe this is down to the adhesives they use to assemble to controller getting in the wrong place. However I continued to use the controller and after a day or two the buttons stopped sticking and all is working like normal, and is still all good and working correctly after heavy use.The battery life is one of the things I am most impressed with, and the extra long charging cable is also very useful.Overall the controller is comfy to hold, albeit slightly heavier than a standard controller, but this is easy to get used to. It is also easy to set up, and the button mapping selector is useful for changing from one style of game to another. To conclude if anyone does happen to still be reading this, excellent controller that feels well made, and if you do have any initial problems with sticky buttons, persevere for a day or two before you go through the hassle of sending back as it may sort itself out like mine did.

I cant go back to another controller, EVER!
Bought for my gaming computer, The features of this controller are great. Rapid fire triggers with automated calibration built in, tension adjustable analogues, graphic equaliser adjustable feedback for analogues, vibration sensitivity and LED brightness to help save battery, and complete mapping of every button, including a shift modifier if need be. The Xbox elite controller uses USB type-C so won't never have an issue with it falling out or falling apart and the wire is more than long enough. Wired should always be your first option for competitive gameplay. So its my favourite controller of all time. probably for the next 3 yearsi had gotten a short stroke of buyers remorse after when i tried using the Bluetooth because I expected more from it, i couldn't figure out why it kept disconnecting and causing frame rate drops. So i did some research and found out that Bluetooth is not meant for real time human interface devices that want to transmit lots of inputs at once. You should only use Bluetooth when your using the controller like a tv remote to change channels or like how you would use a headset, you barely send more than one command at a time.If i ever decide I want to buy a 50" 4k gaming monitor and sit 10 feet away i will buy a Microsoft official wireless adapter to play wirelessly in demanding games to use the wireless band that the Xbox one or ps4 uses.Bluetooth is crap in general its not this controllers built in Bluetooth its just Bluetooth, be it laptops, car radios, headsets, phones, speakers, they have all give me problems. on a positive note it does actually hold a connection when I want to just lay in bed without getting up and play walking dead, or crash bandicoot insane trilogy, or watch a movie on kodi. But when trying to play MotoGP 2020, or CoD MW, or Shadow of the Tomb Raider, or Resident Evil it just kept disconnecting, so i would need the wireless adapter for that.

Ignore the bad reviews
Although the buttons can sometimes fault, however I've had zero issues with mine, and in comparison to the dualsence edge controller for the playstation 5 which I also have, the battery life is far superior to that of the edge controller and you get and extra 2 paddles on the back, customisation is better than the edge as you can set dead zones alter the trigger functionality and change the rumble and vibration features on the xbox elite 2, for a high end gaming controller for its price I think is pretty good I got this on offer for 120 Instead of its original 150 price tag, where as the playstation edge controller is at a hefty 210.The only bad thing that I don't like about this is the fact that its easy to accidentally press a paddle on the back of the controller especially when you're playing games like call of duty or fortnight ext,
