Much easier if you have a socket allen wrench!
My 10yr old is so thrilled about this bed! We got it for her upcoming 10th birthday, and also hoping to finally move her into her own room, instead of her sharing her brother's or our bedroom. Was very easy to follow directions and put together. I will say if you have a socket wrench with an allen wrench head, you will probably save yourself a couple hours. All together my husband and I put this up over two evenings after work, so maybe 5hrs with two adults working on it, plus a few hours to deck it out for her with lights and curtains. The only thing I would change is that I got an 8" mattress to go with this, because we want this to last well into her teens and so I wanted thicker to last longer, but the 8" does leave not very much railing space as you can see in the last picture. Would probably have gone down to a 6" if I thought more on that. The bed does stretch a little farther into the room than we anticipated so we will probably try to make a switch to an enclosed/blade-less fan for her safety as soon as we can get around to that, but over all we're very happy with the purchase. The bed seems really sturdy the pieces are very nice, one piece did have a slight superficial split but we put it on the back side. The only issues we had were a few pieces of the railing numbers were mislabeled in the instructions, but by that late in the process one could use deduction to figure out which they meant. My husband also misunderstood when we drilled the shelves into each other and bolted down every piece, vs every other which caused us to be short about 12 screws. We were able to find replacements for them in our box of screws, rather than undo the extras he put in.

Cute and sturdy. Good price point.
It did take 2 people and several hours to get together but it is very sturdy. Both myself and my daughter can get on it at the same time with no worries. The instructions were easy to follow it was well packaged so even though the boxes were damaged in transport there was no damage to the product. I had to contact customer service after receiving only one box. They were quick to respond with a better tracking number for the other 3 boxes and they all turned up the next day. All of the boxes arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Overall a great experience and I am very satisfied with the product. It is sturdy and will be safe for my child.

Great finished product, parts were unclearly marked
In the end, it looks good and feels sturdy. Putting it together was a nightmare. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the parts were clearly labeled. Some parts were missing a number. Other parts were stamped with a red number and much of them were VERY difficult to read. We were also missing a screw. We had to use one one from our toolbox. But my son loves it! The stairs have storage, which is great.

Tip for putting together, sum up of reviews
Worth the buy, read the reviews, mine sums up several. The seller is very nice I have had to contact twice, once wondering about the shipping and the 2nd was we received one broken board that they are replacing. For the people complaining about shipping, they use fed ex which I DO NOT use and I have my own online candle business lol they are terrible, any time something is shipped to me it bounces around to different fedex locations in the same area for several days. Fed ex made a mistake and we received the last 2 boxes of the 4 late due to fed ex not putting them on the right truck and would not unload it on the weekend although this was their mistake which they admitted. That is not the seller. The packages are very well packed in boxes that are wrapped in bubble wrap then another box carrying that. I had one broken board that I told the seller about and only a few hours at that the seller contacted me. Great customer service. Putting together takes 2 people at least and time, we worked on it the last 2 nights and got the bed part together and slept on one night. It is sturdy, most of the people saying it's not sturdy are the ones complaining about the instructions I was right in assuming this when reading reviews before buying (instructions could be labeled better but work). My boyfriend and meet the 350 limit exactly, I am pregnant so it will be less in a month when I have the baby. We are going to add 4 extra slats and another bottom brace board just for piece of mind, he checked to see if the slats bowed a little under the bed when I was on it so that's why we are. The bed IS NICE and worth it. I am happy with this purchase and can't wait until it's finished. I will update after contacting the seller if anything changes about the bed. If you have problems just contact the seller. TIP FOR PUTTING TOGETHER: Half of the items are not labeled or they were and got painted over. We kept getting confused on the 4 posts of the bed so finally I said let's label them! After we did that it was so much easier. Stay organized while putting together, lay items up against the wall not in the middle of the floor, my boyfriend did this first and it made it harder. Most pieces are easy to tell which ones they are but it can be overwhelming if you let it be. Be patient and yes it takes a while but a great investment.

I viewed and had this bed in my cart for months, before finally taking the plunge. I will admit I was a tad hesitant about the soft wood reviews….. So here is my personal review: Our son’s room is small, and had we put a traditional double bed in his room, like his siblings, he wouldn’t have had room for anything else — so we had to think outside the box a bit, to give him a bigger bed but still give him a chance to be a little boy — with toys and clutter, that goes with being a six year old. • The wood IS soft, with the reviews of that in mind, when researching this bed, we were very careful in the way we handled the unboxing (it came in two shipments of 5 boxes in total), and putting together of the bed. The instructions were easy to follow and precise. My Husband had no issues with the instructions, any mistakes we made were of our own doing…. • The bed took 5 hours, for the two of us to put together, keep in mind you purchase this bed for a small space, and then have to put it together in said small space, which complicates the matter. The frame came together quite quickly, be prepared to spend the majority of your time on the stairs and drawers, it’s a tedious undertaking. • Be careful with the supplies provided, as there is no room for error — no extra pieces are provided. • The bed is a great quality, sturdy bed — I am 5’7” and approximately 225lbs and I feel ‘safe’ going up and adjusting stuffies and pillows, no scary creaking or movement of the bed. The stairs were one of the main selling features for us, since our little guy is a bit afraid of heights and I didn’t want him to have to maneuver a ladder when getting in and out of a bed, they’re sturdy and the extra storage capacity in them is a great bonus!! He went from a IKEA Kura loft bed to this one and had no fears or issues with the extra height BECAUSE of the stairs. I would wholeheartedly recommend this bed, it’s a big investment — the price tag is steep, but I think it’s worth the money.

It took a little while to put together but well worth it. Fairly easy to follow instructions and very sturdy build. The extra drawers in the steps are great.

This bed was purchased for my daughter. The bed itself is a great product and quite sturdy. The delivery, packaging, and individual pieces or hardware are all great. It is made with a soft pine wood that is both light but sturdy and the design, along with the hardware, is nice and snug and sturdy. I have put a lot of furniture together in my life so I knew this was a two-person job and it is. Even then, it's a mission. The process would not be so hard if the instructions were better. Not looking for photo quality instructions but they need to at least match the product. In three separate occasions the instructions did not match the parts in out hands. The first most obvious mistake is the support slats. In the picture it instructs you to put two wooden pegs and then a screw. Well there are only two holes so good luck with that! Also, make sure you read the instructions FULLY before you build. The left vs right sidedness of the bed for the staircase matters almost immediately and if you only to step-by-step you'll be building it for the stairs to be on the right. It's not until much later that it mentions options and this is after putting on the proper slats for the railings. So read ahead. If it weren't for the incorrect instructions (which is different than my read ahead suggestion) I would give this product full stars. To me it looks like the product was updated to reduce material cost but the instructions were not updated. There's also a part number typo where it tells you to use pieces you'd already used. Luckily the pieces are very different shapes and it's simple enough to figure out. Anyway, the product is strong and my daughter loves it. The slats for the mattress are sturdy and everything lined-up nicely. One last point - the mattress height. Be very aware of the limitation for the height of the mattress. Right now my daughter's pillow tends to fall off the back because she has a tall mattress and sleeps on two pillows.

Was great used for about 2 years and them became wobbly. Good for small rooms and kids it was hard for me to clean under having to bend but my daughter liked it
