Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening - Nintendo Switch Standard Edition

Yeh you read that correctly, Legend of Zelda Links Awakening is a remake of a classic Gameboy game that was released 26 years ago.I am still mind blown by this game by how creative and quality the game is.The story in itself is completely nuts and course the game puts you in the boots of the legendary link.I won't go in to many more details asa I will leave that up to you because if your in to a game where you love uncovering secrets and unlocking tools to progress in a video game then I have to say this is one of the best in the bunch. Yet this was created how long ago?Honestly on top of this I have seen alot of complaints about how long the game is but I garentee you most of the player base complaining have been using guides, PLEASE DO NOT USE A GUIDE, this game does not need a guide and more often then not the answers to the puzzles lay right Infront of you and when you figure them out it is so so satisfying.On top of that there is a HARD MODE, where the game doesn't give you heart drops and much stronger enemies... Yeh try getting through that one. Plus I feel the world is so creative and full of mysteries to uncover you will enjoy a second play through to really absorb everything that goes on in such a beautiful crafted game.Trust me if you haven't purchased this yet and love a great adventure then this is for you I believe it's worth the price 100% I have no regrets and only joy being gripped to my seat for the last 4 days playing it none stop.The only issue with the game is drops in frame rate, is that a game breaker? Absolutely not.Quickly what are you waiting for??

I had the original on the Game Boy back in 1993 and got this for my daughter to play in 2023 - still a fantastic game thats been updated with new graphics that keep the charm of the original. Aside from that its a fairly faithfull recreation (from what i remember) I cant be sure if new side quests or mini games have been added or just enhanced. Either way, a classic game from the golden age of gaming.

Love the Zelda series since Ocarina of Time which I bought when it was release must be 20 years ago. Still I am happy that I bought Links Awakening. I did enjoy the game, bit on the easy side for me though. Still it was enough of a challenge. Completed it once but, unlike Ocarina of Time, I have not gone back to it.7 out of 10

I purchased this game not long after release and not long after purchasing my Switch Lite. I was instantly drawn when playing for the first time the polished feel of the game with it looking very nice on the Lite.At the beginning I struggled to get to grips with the game and constantly died on some of the Dungeons which made me play it even more. Soon progressing very quickly I found the tools in the late game easily solved my early game problems of launching myself into a chasm and losing hearts often making trips and cutting grass to get more hearts.The game in all looks fantastic, the storyline is easy to keep up with and is interesting. Even though I am not a Zelda Fanboy I found this game one of the most enjoyable that I have played so far and definitely had the Nintendo finish to it.

I remember playing the original version of this when it first released on Gameboy 25 years ago. I loved the game then and this modern remake is an improvement in every way. The graphical update is an obvious one but controls have also been upgraded making swapping equipment way less of a hassle. Includes the colour dungeon from the Gameboy colour release and is well worth the look. A classic Zelda game, complete with dungeons to beat and things to collect, it's a lot shorter than Breath of the Wild but still shines brightly. Definitely worth a look for people who played the original, it'll be just as fun for new comers. A must buy for every Switch owner!

Exactly what I was hoping for and so much more. I never played the original, but I can see why it's received so much love over the years. This was a beautiful game that was so tightly packed. It was almost the opposite of the Breath of the Wild, but in a fantastic way. I probably finished it in about 12 hours, which is perfect for someone who has very very limited time. But all four of my children are also loving this (ages 13, 11, 9 and 6). Everything is interconnected in such an amazing way. The entire overworld is a dungeon of sorts, locked out by each new item that you discover.The art style is perfect.Some reviewers have commented on frame rate. I'm not sure how you'd notice, it's such a slow game. There are bizarrely long loading times, and clicking through the text takes longer than expected. Definitely a win.
