This Collection Was Quite A Surprise - In A Good Way.
I'm currently on a cheap old movie collection kick and have recently discovered several collections that have been released by Millbrook Entertainment, which, in the past I have had spotty success with. From what I have gathered they have purchased the film library of Crown International Pictures from Brentwood Entertainment, another low-rate video company that from what I understand went bankrupt. So far I have received two of the seven collections. The first was Drive-In Cult Classics - 8 Movie Set and the second is this one, Rare Cult Cinema. I bought this mainly to see William Shatner in The Kidnapping of the President, which I remember seeing ages ago. I enjoyed it as much as I had remembered.Remember, Crown International was a very low-budget producer of quickie films that were shown mostly as triple features at the drive-in. What you missed as far as quality was made up for in quantity that would keep you in your car or on your car sometimes until the very late hours of the evening. What I found out is there was a lot more to this collection than I had imagined. Although most of the films are not shown in wide-screen, the print quality is extremely good for this type of collection. Often when you buy these you end up watching choppy, scratched, jumpy films that have seen their better days. For the most part these films, and also the other collection that I mentioned earlier, are clean and clear. There were a couple of films on this collection that really surprised me. African Safari, a documentary, was an excellent film about that continent in 1968. Another film, Road To Nashville, a pseudo documentary from 1967 shows many of the best stars in country music at the time.I got this on Amazon for less than 6 dollars and thought it was worth every penny.

Really bad flicks
I realize these were low budget to begin with, and I expected it... but I'll be honest, this wasn't even entertaining. Sometimes movies can be so bad that they're fun to watch, not this one. This is nothing anyone I can imagine, would ever care to see. Not raunchy enough, not cheesy, nothing I'd consider gritty... just not worth a dime. Hopefully my review doesn't promote this to be worth even a laugh at how bad this is. I'd leave it alone. It left me feeling like maybe I just dried off with my shower curtain because my dog barfed on all my towels, (hopefully that never becomes a reality).

An interesting collection of movies
I was particularly interested in obtaining a copy of Indian Paint with Johnny Crawford and Jay Silverheels (very difficult to find). Included in this set are The Kidnapping of the President, with William Shatner, and Santee, with Glenn Ford. Very good movies at a very affordable price.
