Great replacement for 1992 Diamondback Topanga - "Shimano Msystem" pads
Exactly what I needed to repair my old 1992 Diamondback Topanga pads. The old pads were almost hard as stone. I had no idea if these new pads would work, since they didn't seem to be on the compatibility list. My old pads only had "Shimano Msystem" as identification. The new ones looked similar, so I took a chance. Worked out! Good fit, and they work great. Pretty cheap brake fix! See picture of my old pads, in case anyone has the same ones they need to replace!

The SHIMANO BR-CT91 Brake Shoes work and are quiet
My Grandson's newly recycled bicycle was in good condition except that applying the brakes made a horrible sound. My fix was simple. I replaced the old dried out brake shoes with SHIMANO BR-CT91 Brake Shoes, and further confirmed my status as magician.

Great pads
These are very good brake pads. They are an incredible deal for the price you’re gonna spend on them and they’re incredibly easy to install. I put them on and I can stop better than ever.

Solved my squeaking brake problem.
I replaced my ancient hard-as-rock brake pads, and the squealing and grinding stopped. Why didn't I do this earlier?

As advertised
Can’t get your bike to go? You stay where you are. Can’t get it to stop? You’re in real trouble. It was the right part. Bike stops fine now, didn’t before. Install was straightforward, but I think that was the bike, not the part itself.

Perfect replacement for 20 yr old pads...
As part of my ongoing quest to improve myself, I got my bike out of storage for the first time in probably 15 years. I did some basic adjustments, freed up the sticky shifters, and took it for a ride without really examining the brake shoes beyond noticing they were still there. Braking...well it did happen eventually but emergency stops were out of the question, I realized I'd overlooked something rather important and ordered these replacements right away. When I got the old pads off, they were so hard that they clacked when struck together, and had been literally melting where they gripped the wheel rim.The new pads were exact replacements, with good rubber, easy to install and once the melted remnants of the old pads wore off, they've been quiet and have good stopping power.Don't be an idiot like me, BRAKES ARE VERY IMPORTANT! MAKE SURE YOURS ARE FUNCTIONAL!
