Expensive
This isn't paint so much as powder suspended in water. You get a pint-sized can with a bag of powder in it. If I had to do it again, I would pour in half the bag of powder and add water to it. I wasted so much because it would pour out of the top of the can when I mixed it. Machine agitation does not work. You have to mix it by hand. I used a nylon hobby brush to paint it onto a small tree (easy) and a giant tree (hard) suffering from sun scald because the city keeps hacking at it. I resorted to trying to pour it on the tree but that didn't allow the paint to adhere. You have it put it on like spackle. As the mixture dries, it sort of cakes itself onto the tree and looks like a dry powder resting on the tree. It was drizzling when I used it but I didn't get wet under the tree canopy. That afternoon it rained hard but it seems to have stayed on. Overall the physics of this mixture was weird. It was also super expensive. I am not sure I would purchase it again if it does not last until fall. In the future, I will just mix my own whitewash if that turns out to be the case.

Works well.
I applied it to an already sunburned tree. The tree is thriving now. Very impressive.

Does a good job with clean ingredients.
I used this one my newly planted fruit trees. I like the natural clean ingredients. It covers well. I have noticed that it is already fading. It’s only been a few weeks. I feel it should have lasted longer.

Great for super hot summers
I used these on very young citrus trees I planted in my yard. I live in the inland area of southern California where we have very long hot days in the summer. There was a noticeable difference in the growth of the foliage after having painted the trunks. I definitely think it helped the trees do better in the hot sun during the summer. The wash was easy to mix and easy to apply. Only use the amount you think you will be using so you don’t waste it all. There’s enough powder in the can for me to make multiple applications on the small trees.

Great label design - terrible product
Do not purchase this product. 1) It is horrifically expensive compared to alternatives. 2) The powder does not mix well in water. You would want it to be a consistent emulsion but much of the powder does not fully dissolve. I tried. I slowly added the powder to water while using a paint mixer. No good. 3) The resulting mix is very thin when applied to tree bark. I expect that it will wash off in a hard rain. 4) If you are after an anti-desiccant, Wilt-Pruf is a far superior product in all ways.
