Eric. No shed at all after wash. I just turn a sock inside out to check for you, it look and feel like a stuffed teddy bear.. Your shoes will feel 1/2 size too tigt.. Just take it from me , buy them and dont worry about the negative review on here about how thin socks are. Sorry to say they dont know wfh they talk about..

All black - even no red seam on the toes like many other Hanes products. Love these. :o)

Q: How to stop these from slipping off the heel with every step? Does this mean they’re too small?

It might mean they’re too small. Also consider socks that come up higher, like to the ankle.
