This stuff is amazing. It works so well on bathroom sinks to get rid of any hair and works quickly! I keep it on hand and have had no issues. Has a few uses in each bottle too. Not a single U.S. bottle so a good value.

Had a clogged kitchen sink in a rental, did all the things- baking soda, dish soap, vinegar, nothing worked. Got the traditional liquid draino- used 2ce per instructions which was the entire bottle with no results. Ordered this, followed directions using about half a bottle- poured crystals into drain and then very hot water and it smoked a little, made a gurgling sound and tada! No more clog! Thank you Thrift! It WORKS!!!!

I never write reviews, but this product definitely deserves one. I have a shower drain that gets backed up easily. No way to remove the cover to clear the catch. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on every drain cleaner possible over the past few years. They work for a shower or two, then it backs up again with a vengeance. I used this product once. The granules were a little too large for the drain holes in my shower, but (as suggested by another user review) just used rubber gloves to break them up and push through the drain holes. Then, (again per a previous reviewer’s suggestion) poured a pot of almost boiling water over it. The gurgling and sound of water moving further down the drain than I’d ever heard before since this issue started was incredible- music to my ears!! -and only on the very first use. Should mention that I also used a lesser amount than some have suggested it’d take! I was about to call a plumber bc again, this has been a persistent issue. I’m a woman with long hair- and even though I try to be mindful of keeping hair from going into the drain, maybe that was the cause. I also have a pup that I sometimes wash in there, but always use an additional screen when washing her- still that might have also contributed. Regardless, this stuff worked like magic! I’ve truly never been so compelled to write a review before. The steam does create a slight odor, and once again- following advice of previous users, I put a mask on to be safe. It’s not overwhelming-and the smell didn’t last beyond the time I was pouring water over it- but to be safe, probably best to avoid inhaling it- if whatever is in there is powerful enough to clear my jammed up drain, I’m pretty sure it’s not something that’d be healthy to breathe into your lungs. Still, this got the job done the very first time. I will be washing the shower floor thoroughly before I step in there next (don’t want anything toxic on my skin), but am already excited for my next shower without any drain backup. If you’re having drain issues- do yourself a favor and try this. I’m glad I’d found this-was calling a plumber in the morning if it didn’t work-it does what it claims and ultimately saved me so much money!! This product actually works. We have used other products and the nothing on this one, fast unclogging, easy to use, not a huge bottle like others. I recommend.

This seems to work better than the liquid drain cleaners, and it works quickly. One star deducted for size of container. You're supposed to use one cup per treatment, but after you use two cups, there's not enough left for a 3rd treatment, so you only get two and a half treatments, requiring you to buy another bottle.

This is a game changer for removing any tough clogs. I highly recommend it. It cleared out my backed up tub with little or no work. Great value.

As always I am skeptical. I used another professional clog remover with nothing happening. This product showed up and I got the area prepped for use. It called for hot water, so I microwaved 4 cups of water. I put 1 cup of the crystals down the sink and poured 2 cups of hot water over it. I waited 2 minutes and then poured the other 2 cups of hot water in the sink. I watched the air bubbles come up and about 3 minutes later a big bubble came up and the drain was emptied. I started to turn the faucet on slowly and then fully. The drain was completely draining and in full use as I let the faucet run for 3-5 minutes. This Thrift product is FANTASTIC!! I will definitely be using this product if my drain gets clogged up again. Well worth the $15!

Highly recommended product compared to liquid chemical alternatives. Works much better.

Drain cleaner is very good.. Made light work of a shower drain at my son’s university dormitory accommodation.. Drain was blocked from previous tenants and students over the years.. Cleared it with one application.

Came across this product on social media and have been dealing with a slow draining bathtub for the last few weeks, gave this a shot vs calling up the landlord to assist. Followed instructions and incredibly my bathtub be draining again! Just be mindful to wear gloves, goggles, mask when using as a precaution. Will definitely use again for any stubborn drains.

My washbasin was clogged a lot. The drain cleaner works as advertised. Just pour boiling hot water to activate the process. The situation is clear now.

Great product, there is enough to do a couple small drains in the bottle. Product works fast on most drains, some stubborn ones needed a second run through.
