I bought this for my 8” Kicker Comp RT sub. I originally had the sub in a smaller sealed enclosure, and even though it sounded pretty good it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I decided to try a ported enclosure but don’t have the time to build my own. I decided to try this Skar enclosure. I did have to make an adapter plate because the stock cutout in this box was a bit too large for the 8” Kicker Comp RT. That was easily done using some 3/4” thick plywood and some speaker box carpet. I think i got it matched up pretty well. Anyway, this box is a night and day difference from the sealed enclosure I originally had. The sealed enclosure I had was much smaller, but it was within the specifications of my particular sub. Back to this Skar enclosure. It increased the bass in my system so much that I actually had to turn the bass down a bit because it was too much for me. This enclosure is a great purchase that I have 0 regrets about. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has an 8” sub that this enclosure meets the specifications of.

Seems to be made well. Like others have said....the speaker cables are too short to reasonably connect the driver...plus the connectors are soldered to the terminal cup so not really that easy to swap to a longer cable. I ended up inverting the sub. I'm using a Skar EVL-8 and it was really tight getting the sub into the cutout, to the point it almost damaged the push terminals on the driver...plus the motor of that sub takes up way too much room in the box, not that that's a problem with the box or anything. My setup with a Down4Sound JP8 slams hard but lacks the low end extension. Probably more of an issue with the fact that the box wasn't designed for a subwoofer like that. Very very nice enclosure for $80 shipped though.

These are made quite nice, I have very nice TB subs in them at Fs 32 Hz,,, works well!

Have the skar svr 8 in it and people don’t believe me when I say it’s not a 15. It’s around 38 ish hz peak, so most music sounds good on it. The carpet, the workmanship, it’s perfect. My favorite sub I own.
