Not sure why every one gave this a bad review
This is one of the best french press I have ever bought. First of all you dont have to worry about it breaking all the time like the glass french press. It is easy to wash and you can put it with all the other dishes without worrying that the dishes might put too much pressure and break the glass, so this one should last forever. The filter is very good, it filters out all the coffee beans as long as you dont make the grinds too fine. The handle makes it easy to carry around and pour coffee, and the steal keeps the coffee warm for a while, although the insulation is not the best, but better than most!

Tres Fabulous!
I love this French Press. I went though three glass-carafe French Presses from Bodum and Mr. Coffee, and broke all of them with my Hulk hands. Hopefully this one can stand up to the rigors of my kitchen environment. Easy to use, my only complaint is that there's a groove running around the bottom that makes it a bit difficult to clean - I scrape my grounds into the trash and it's hard to get the spatula into that groove. Otherwise, this is a super French Press and I'm so glad my friend recommended it to me!

Strong metallic smell and taste
not too impressed with the quality of the stainless steel. I have been using it every day for about 3 weeks now and it still has that metallic smell and taste to it. When I pour hot water in it the smell of the steam is very metallic smelling. I tried washing it with all kinds of different soaps and it still has that smell. You can also taste it when you drink water from the press. Awful!!

Underwhelmed, not convinced it's stainless steel
After two weeks of sporadic research into affordable (under $30) French presses, I decided to spring for this one. Reviewers seemed pleased with the quality for the price, and I liked the idea of solid stainless construction (having read many horror stories about shattering glass in other models). However, this French press was entirely underwhelming. To start with, the packaging itself was problematic. It arrived literally rattling around in an uncushioned box (the rattling noise was due to it being partially disassembled, with a washer-type piece of metal rolling loose in the bottom of the box, the filter pieces separated, and no instructions for putting it together properly). The exterior of the press looked worn and aged; there were several areas where it appeared as though its finish had worn off, revealing rough dark gray material underneath the stainless-appearing surface. More disappointment awaited on the inside of the press, as I found what looked to be a ring of rust where the mesh filter would meet the inner walls of the press. I'm not convinced the item I received was either new or fully stainless steel, both of which were concerning enough for me to return the press. I decided to give two stars instead of one for the reason that I did not use the press and its function may have been fine. The discrepancy between the described quality and the actual quality was enough for me to decide against giving it that chance.

Average
The press is good however the one that I have at my parents house is made of a thicker metal. Therefore even though it's smaller it is much sturdier. The lid I find to be flimsy and the screw keeps coming loose so I have to go back and tighten it which is hard because it's so small.

Great little French Press (12oz review)
This little (12oz) French Press is awesome! It's the perfect size for my first thing in the morning coffee. I don't generally make more than one cup, so this size is just right. It brews fantastically - I really like the design of the mesh coming up the sides. The mesh on the plunger is really fine, so no coffee grounds have gotten through so far. Very easy to clean and maintain. The only thing I will say is that because it is all metal, the cover can get a little bit warm due to transference, so be careful when using the plunger. All in all, I love it, and don't see myself going back to a regular drip brewer any time soon.

I've been very happy with this coffee press model so far
I was a little hesitant to go with this model, as I always thought "double-walled" was the way to go. However, I've been very happy with this coffee press model so far! It is easy to use, and makes great coffee. I was able to get it at a pretty nice price, so it was a bargain compared to other brands. As previously stated, I would opt for the largest model, as the sizes are deceiving. I got the 34 oz. model, and it works perfect for me. I typically only fill it half full (around 1 full mug), but I always have the option to go more if needed.

Nice Little French Press
I actually like this little French Press and am happy I purchased it. This is my first time owning a French Press and I love the flavor of freshly ground coffee prepared without the use of a filter. It is delicious and a nice treat. I do wish I'd purchased a bigger press for those days when I want a little bit more coffee, but it does actually prepare the 12 ounces that were promised. Plus, clean up is pretty easy.
